Biweekly digest

Dear ENGin Student,

Have you ever wondered why our organization exists? What are we all working on together? We hope this video by Bandit & Scout Productions will remind you of our mission and the incredible impact we make every day.

You are a vital part of this change-making process, and we are grateful to have you in our program. This month, we are running our annual holiday fundraiser so we can continue our work in 2023. If you’ve enjoyed your time at ENGin, please consider making a donation of any size here

And now, it's time to talk about the updates we prepared for you:

🟣Extra learning opportunities from ENGin volunteers

Do you want to start learning computer science or improve your writing and publish articles in English? Or you may wish to apply to a US university and need some help. We collected additional learning opportunities offered to ENGin students by our volunteers and supporters. On our website, you can find the list of regularly updated options.

Please note: ENGin does not organize these programs, so you should get in touch with the organizers with any questions. To find out more, follow the link

🟣Don't forget to participate in ENGin challenge!

We invite you to participate in our December Challenge. We prepared an exciting movie challenge for you. If you win, you will get a “MAXIMUM” month subscription to enjoy watching films with English subtitles on MEGOGO platform. To learn more about the task and participate in the competition follow this link!

🟣New asynchronous sessions

Are you having power outages and inconsistent access to electricity and the Internet? To help you keep learning and stay connected with your volunteer, we have introduced asynchronous session plans!

In these new session plans, students complete tasks individually and record voice/video messages for your volunteer to discuss the topics. Then the volunteer responds with feedback. Please read the detailed instructions on how these sessions work.

If you are interested in trying asynchronous session plans, please ask your volunteer!

🟣Holiday session plans

Christmas and New Year are coming! With our holiday session plans, you can delve into engaging discussions and have a cultural exchange with your speaking buddy. Please, check out here to find session materials (for various levels, both synchronous and asynchronous).

We wish you a warm and peaceful holiday!
