Bitcoin payments app Strike launches in the UK following European rollout
Powered by @unfoldedBitcoin payments app Strike has launched in the UK, allowing eligible individuals and businesses to buy, sell, send, withdraw, and make global payments using Bitcoin and the Lightning Network.
Strike founder and CEO Jack Mallers sees significant opportunities for Bitcoin adoption in the UK, which has a population of 67 million and is the sixth-largest global economy.
The app offers features such as free unlimited GBP deposits, automatic conversion and scheduled recurring purchases, and the ability to sell bitcoin, withdraw to a bank account, transfer to a self-custodial wallet, or make instant payments over the Bitcoin or Lightning Network.
UK users can also make fast and low-cost local currency remittances using Bitcoin's Lightning Network as a global payment rail.
