The Swiss company redesigns its flagship device introducing Bluetooth connectivity with Whisper technology and breaking down the technical barriers of the Apple ecosystem.

During the BTC Prague 2025 conference, BitBox announced the launch of its new hardware wallet BitBox02 Nova that breaks down the technical barriers that prevented use on Apple mobile devices. The result is a hardware wallet that communicates natively with iPhone and iPad.

The main innovation lies in Whisper technology, a Bluetooth connectivity that operates on a dedicated chip, physically separated from the main processor.

Every outgoing data is encrypted by the central system before transmission, while every incoming information undergoes cryptographic verification. To ensure privacy, the device uses randomized addresses that prevent tracking.

The Bluetooth functionality can be disabled instantly when not needed, eliminating potential attack vectors.

BitBox02 Nova integrates a security chip with EAL6+ certification, one of the highest standards recognized in the cybersecurity industry, which guarantees physical protection of the device.

The OLED display, now protected by tempered glass, offers a sharper and impact-resistant visualization. In addition to the classic black coloring, the new device will also be available in white version.

“Our customers are at the heart of every decision we make”, commented Douglas Bakkum, CEO and co-founder of BitBox. “The BitBox02 Nova embodies this, delivering a cold wallet our customers are asking for, all while maintaining the uncompromising security and privacy that people have come to expect from us.”

BitBox02 Nova is available for pre-order on the official website and through the network of authorized retailers.
