Biofrost Kernel - Tuning

mcdofrenchfreis

Beginning with R7 - Myogi and moving forward to R8 - Irohazaka, I've included 2 new tunables that users can change using any kernel managers, primarily:

CPU Input Boost duration

- This tunable is used to control CPU Boosting for a specified amount of time.
e.g: 60ms, 100ms, 150ms, etc.

Recommended value:

- 0 (for Battery Backup)

- 60 (for Daily Usage)

- 1500/2000 (for Performance/Gaming)

Schedhorizon's up_delay

- This tunable controls how long the default CPU governor (schedutil) will wait before increasing the cluster's frequency over its already-configured efficient frequency.
e.g: 1000ms up_delay = 1 second hold to the specified frequency.

Recommended value:

- 0 (for Performance/Gaming)

- 300 (for Daily Usage)

- 1000/1500 (for Battery Backup)

[FKM] Kernel tunable path:

up_delay: CPU and GPU -> Governor parameters (both little and big cluster)

CPU Input Boost Duration: CPU and GPU -> CPU Input Boost

These 2 tunables make it simple to alter how the kernel behaves; based on the values you enter, it will act accordingly. You can join the support group if you have any additional questions about this post. (t.me/BiofrostHub)
