Billie Piper has revealed she takes nude photos of herself to ‘check in’ with her body.
The Secret Diary Of A Call Girl actress explained that she likes to keep track of her appearance by looking at the snaps.
‘I’ve taken naked pictures of myself but I sort of do it as a check in for me,’ the 37-year-old said on the Is It Just Me? podcast.
‘I sort of go “How am I looking? What do I look like now?” So I do it to sort of check in with myself.’
The mother-of-three doesn’t let the pics leave her phone though.
‘I would never send one because it’s way too risky,’ she said.
Billie plays an actress whose naked photos are leaked in her new Sky drama, I Hate Suzie.
And discussing the effects of revenge porn, the former Doctor Who star said: ‘On a more serious note, it can get really really ugly and very sad.
‘It can get very exposing for people – for older people and younger people. It’s happening more and more, it’s actually abusive.’
She added: ‘I think smartphones are not true to life at all. Even in a photo of your face as a selfie, I find it to be very misleading.’
Billie recently discussed the 2014 iCloud hack, which saw several celebrities’ private photos leaked online, and said that whilst she wasn’t impacted by it, she could relate to the situation.
She told The Sunday Times’ Culture magazine: ‘I don’t know what that’s like [having pictures stolen], but I certainly know what it means to live your life publicly.’
Billie added: ‘I’ve done that since I was 14. What’s really interesting and slightly depressing is on some level we all do that now – everybody has an online profile and everything you do on some level could be seen to be incriminating, even if it’s actually quite innocent.’
The actress became the youngest person in history to top the charts aged 15 with her 1998 hit Because We Want To.
The star admitted she has repressed a lot of ‘stress’ from the pressures of fame during her teenage years and doesn’t want her children to enter showbusiness because of it.
The star has two sons, Winston, 11, and Eugene, eight, with second husband Laurence Fox, and a daughter, Tallulah, with musician Johnny Lloyd .

‘I certainly wouldn’t want my children to go that way,’ Billie told the Radio Times.
‘There’s an anxiety of me as a child that I probably on some levels smother my children with.’
