A transgender model, who has spent almost $300,000 on 127 surgeries to become a 'desirable' woman, has told of her struggle to find love with a man who accepts her.
Kelly Star, from Perth, says she has been single for 12 years, despite receiving lots of male attention for her curvaceous figure and 32K breast implants.
The 46-year-old said since beginning her transition into a woman at the age of 16, she has struggled to find a compatible partner who will openly date a trans-woman.
Perth transgender model Kelly Star (pictured) said she has been single for 12 years and has struggled to find Mr Right, despite receiving lots of male attention for her size 32K breast implants
The 46-year-old has spent almost $300,000 on 127 surgeries to become a 'desirable' woman
Kelly, who was born a boy named Michael (pictured), began transitioning into a woman at age 16
Kelly confessed the men she meets are more interested in having a one-night stand than a committed relationship, because they worry about what friends and family will think.
'For most guys, being with a trans-woman might be something that they're intrigued by and they just want to be with you once, which is disheartening,' she said.
'It's hard to find a man who is willing to tell their mates and family that they have a trans-partner, and I think that's the last barrier to trans-women being accepted.'
Kelly's said her last relationship ended in 2005 and her ex-partner's family only discovered that she was a trans-woman after the couple broke up.
'At the time, I think I was happy not to have to explain my past and enjoyed the experience, to an extent. It's what I thought I wanted,' said the model, who has spent more than $160,000 on her breasts.

She said she began mimicking her sisters' body language and borrowing their clothes when he turned 15
'But in time I grew more confident in myself and realised that it wasn't an ideal situation worrying about who might reveal my past or who may already know.'
Born a boy named Michael, Kelly was the youngest of six siblings.

Kelly honed her feminine figure two years later and spent almost $5,000 on rhinoplasty and breast implants, increasing her chest to a 32C cup.
Kelly was 20-years-old when she underwent sex reassignment surgery and has undergone 127 surgeries since.
The procedures, which have cost an estimated $300,000, have helped Kelly create a look based on her idea of a 'desirable' woman.
'I liked the look of women like Elle MacPherson and Gisele Bundchen, and also busty girls, with small waists and fuller figured hips.'
Kelly has travelled to the United Kingdom, the United States, Thailand and Malaysia in her quest to obtain her dream body.
'The look I've wanted has been hard to achieve,' she said.

'Sometimes surgeries haven't gone to plan or as well as I hoped, so there have been some setbacks.
'Over the last 28 years, I've had 19 operations on my breasts, as I've increased my cup size from a 32C to a 32K.
'While most of the operations went well, a couple of overseas procedures were botched, which meant I had to spend money to correct it in Australia.'
Kelly, who has paid for her operations using a combination of her savings and health insurance, said she remains hopeful that attitudes towards dating trans-women will change for the better and she will find her Mr Right.
'And now that transgender marriage is legal in Australia, my dream is to find Mr Right and for my dad to walk me down the aisle.'

A transgender woman whose breasts merged together after a doctor doubled the size of her breast implants without her permission asked another surgeon to fix her 'mutant boobs' - and help her complete her transition.
On Tuesday night's episode of E! reality series Botched , Kayden, from Hoboken, New Jersey, asked Los Angeles-based surgeons Paul Nassif and Terry Dubrow to remove her 700cc implants and reconstruct her breasts using smaller ones after they determined that she suffered from a full symmastia - where the breasts fuse together as a result of the too-large implants.
'A 700cc implant is wider than her entire breast cavity, so there is no way you can get two of them in there safely,' Dr Dubrow said of the confluence of her breast tissue, which was a result of her botched surgery.
Last hope: Kayden, from Hoboken, New Jersey, asked Los Angeles-based surgeons Paul Nassif and Terry Dubrow to fix her 'mutant boobs' on last night's episode of Botched
Difficult procedure: Kayden had the doctors remove her 700cc implants (left) that were too large for her chest and reconstruct her breasts using smaller implants (right)
During her consultation, Kayden explained that she was born to an evangelical Christian family who couldn't accept that she was a 'little boy who was very feminine'.
'They would threaten me with performing exorcisms to remove what they call the "feminine demons inside of me",' she said.
Kayden said that she pretended to enjoy 'boy things' for a long time, but by the time she reached her early 20s, she knew she was a woman and decided she was ready to start living for herself.
She started her transition with hormone replacement therapy and began looking for a doctor who specialized in breast augmentation for transgender women.
'This would be the surgery that changes everything for me,' she said of the initial procedure, explaining that she wanted each implant to be 350cc because she wanted to 'look like the girl next door'.
Difficult childhood: Kayden, who is a transgender woman, was born a boy and said her evangelical Christian family wasn't tolerant of her femininity
Trying to fit in: Kayden said she taught herself to like 'boy things' to appease her family, but in her early 20s she realized she was a woman and could no longer live a lie
However, when she woke up after surgery a nurse approached her and said: 'Congratulations! You got an upgrade. You are going to love them. They are 700ccs.'
'I trusted him. I thought I was going to get exactly what I wanted,' she said of the doctor who performed her surgery.
Three months later, Kayden said she started to feel a burning sensation in the center of her boobs and feared that she had developed symmastia. However, when she contacted her doctor, he brushed her off and pretended like it was all in her head.
'The symmastia that I have is 100 per cent the result of the size of the implants that the plastic surgeon decided to put in my body,' she said during an interview on the reality series. 'He just didn't want to do anything about it.'
Kayden said it has been three years, and every time she looks at her breasts she feels 'disgusting'.
Fresh start: Kayden started her transition by undergoing hormone therapy. Her implants were supposed to be the final part of her transition
Terrible discovery: After she woke up from her breast augmentation surgery, Kayden was told that the surgeon gave her 700cc implants (pictured) - instead of the 350ccs she had asked for
'I am still waiting for the day where I could feel like a complete woman,' she noted.
During her consultation with Dr Dubrow and Dr Nassif, the doctors were appalled by the actions of Kayden's previous surgeon.
'If the patient and the doctor have a decision together you stick with that plan,' Dr Nassif explained to the cameras. 'You don't put double the size. That's malpractice.'
Dr Dubrow was equally shocked, and when Kayden shared her story of waking up with a 700cc implant in each breast, he told her: 'Whoa. You know the maximum that they even make is 800cc.'
Kayden said when she confronted the doctor, he told her: 'Well, you are a transsexual I figured you'd want to look like a doll. You should thank me.'
Defining moment: During her consultation with Dr. Dubrow, Kayden learned that she suffered from a full symmastia, which is defined as the confluence of breast tissue
Skilled surgeon: Dr Dubrow, who is pictured with Dr Nassif, told Kayden that her breast implants turned her chest into one giant breast
While the doctors were determined to get Kayden to wear she wanted to be 'physically and emotionally', they were concerned about treating her symmastia.
'Symmastia is one of the most difficult operations to fix in breast surgery because all of the normal anatomic attachments have been disrupted to the chest wall and it's really hard to reestablish those,' Dr Dubrow explained.
During her physical exam, Dr Dubrow discovered that she had a complete symmastia, noting that her 'entire chest is a breast implant' because the implants were far too large to fit into a man's chest.
He also noticed that her chest bone had been disrupted by the botched surgery. While he agreed to take on her case, he knew taking out her implants and making new breast pockets for smaller implants wouldn't be easy.
Making it work: Dr Durbrow removed her oversized implants and made new breast pockets using scar tissue before giving her smaller implants
Great expectations: After surgery, Kayden admitted that she was disappointed that there wasn't more definition at the top of her breasts, but the doctors reminded her that there was only so much they could do
On the day of Kayden's surgery, Dr Dubrow removes Kayden's oversized breast implants and learns that her breast pockets are completely open. Fortunately, he was able to use scar tissue to reconstruct the walls and fit the smaller implants she desired.
At her post-op consultation, Kayden told Dr Dubrow that there were some 'tenting' issues and she wanted more definition at the top of her breasts, similar to the breasts of a symmastia patient he treated in the past.
However, Dr Dubrow explained that her expectations were unrealistic for the breast tissue he was working with.
'Kayden has an idealized set of breasts in her mind that is first of all not possible on someone whose genetic male and not possible even on a female who isn't born that way to begin with,' he told the cameras. 'I obviously misunderstood her expectations and that is my mistake.'
Happy in the end: Kayden said that her new breasts are smaller and look more natural than they did before
Amazing transformation: 'I definitely look like the girl next door now,' Kayden said of her new breasts (right)
During the exam, Dr Nassif asked if he could shared his opinion and agreed that she was being 'unrealistic' about the results.
'This is absolutely the best correction I have ever seen for symmastia,' he added.
Meanwhile, Dr Dubrow urged Kayden to call her before she went to see another doctor and have an unsafe procedure done in an attempt to get the look she wants, which she appreciated.
Kayden admitted that her breasts now look 'a lot more natural' and 'a lot smaller' than before.
'My life and been in pause and hopefully the pause is ending,' she said. 'I definitely look like the girl next door now, and I like that.'
