Forget the extremely poor (random?) casting, idiotic plot elements, dumb dialog and irritating constant laugh-track and you stlll get another lousy porno ripoff from the Mullen/David team. So give it nine industry award nominations and you have another example of industry corruption. Overacting as if to stifle any possibility of crossover into mainstream, actress Kagney Linn Karter is the only talent to fit her role as Ellie Mae. The NonSex actors playing Jed and Granny are blank fill-ins for the real thing, hence give 'em an award nomination. James Bartholet hams it up as Mr. Drysdale and unfortunately the guy who's made a career out of NonSex porn film roles whips out his dick for XXX action in a threesome featuring Vicki Chase -ugh!! Dana DeArmond as Jane Hathaway is a real stretch, giving affected line readings until finally delivering some porn in the final reels opposite Ryan Driller. Mullen aka Will Ryder as writer-director throws in enough stories for a half dozen episodes, including a visit back home to hillbilly country and stupid excuses for porn as in Jethro's casting couch schemes, such as a fake Spielberg movie casting call. The clash between carbon-copy imitation of the TV original and ridiculously un-matched talent to the roles makes the whole farrago a non-starter.
