Let's get right to it so you can make your bets against our Super Bowl Coin Toss Props.NFL Super Bowl Coin Toss Betting OddsBefore I get to my trio of predictions on this year's Super Bowl coin toss, let's look back at some coin toss history.
Super Bowl 55 and the 2020/21 season will be one that we will not forget any time soon, with the pandemic leaving NFL stadiums empty across the nation, the re-seducing of games weekly and a impact to each and every one of us, and that is before the final chapter plays out on February 7th when the raining champion Patrick Mahoms Faces off with the Legendary Tom Brady and is brand new team the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. To further the intrigue the Super Bowl in Tampa Bay will be the First time a Super Bowl host city will have a team playing in the Super Bowl.
If you love making NFL Super Bowl props bets that could help you cash in big on the final game of the season, then you’re going to love the value-packed Super Bowl coin toss predictions that you’re about to get. Let’s get right to it so you can make your bets against our Super Bowl Coin Toss Props .
Before I get to my trio of predictions on this year’s Super Bowl coin toss, let’s look back at some coin toss history.
Now, let’s look at some coin toss trends.
Here are a handful of trends we’ve unearthed from the Super Bowl coin toss results:
Tails has been the outcome in each of the last two Super Bowls and five of six overall with heads being the pick in Super Bowl 52. Simply put, the heads outcome is due to come up this year.
In the NFL, the road team calls the coin toss and in Super Bowl 55 that’s Kansas City. The team that called the coin toss has been incorrect in each of the last two Super Bowls – following a whopping string of 50 straight correct Super Bowl coin toss calls. AFC teams have won the coin toss 31 percent of the time while NFC teams have won the coin toss 68 percent of the time. I like the Chiefs to get the coin toss call correct.
The last team to win the coin toss and hoist the Lombardi Trophy was Seattle in Super Bowl 48. Baltimore pulled off the feat one year prior while Green Bay and New Orleans got the coin toss and Super Bowl win in Super Bowls 45 and 44 respectively. Six straight coin toss winners have lost the Super Bowl, so I’m going with the ‘Yes’ selection here, simply because ‘it’s due’. The winner of the Super Bowl has won the coin toss 24 times with Heads coming up 12 times. Heads has come up 25 times overall and Tails 29 times.  I’m going with the Chiefs to win the coin toss. Kansas City defers possessions and goes on to win Super Bowl 55.
How to Bet on the Super Bowl : So are you ready to make your Super Bowl 55 predictions? We have complete information on the betting spread, game totals and results for every game played since 1967, Printable Playoff Brackets and more...
Who cares which team will win? We’re here to figure out which song Maroon 5 will perform first, how clairvoyant Tony Romo will be, and will Donald Trump be on anyone's mind and mentioned?
January 26, 1986, two of the most beautiful things in NFL history happened: The New England Patriots were throttled in the Super Bowl, and the proposition bet became a gambling sensation. As a publicity stunt, odds makers offered bets on whether Bears defensive lineman William “Refrigerator” Perry would score a rushing touchdown in Super Bowl XX, giving bets paying out as high as 75-1. Shockingly, Perry did score a rushing touchdown.
The bet sparked a wave of prop bets, which have become an international phenomenon in the past three decades. An estimated $4 billion–plus will be wagered on the Super Bowl, and roughly a quarter of that amount will come via proposition bets. That’s more money on prop bets than the Rams were valued at when Stan Kroenke bought a controlling stake in the team in 2010.
If that isn’t enough for you, here’s a ton of things we can say about the annual Super Bowl, but what brings the most attention is the betting side and final stats that surround this famous game. First played in 1967 as part of a merger agreement between the National Football League (NFL) and its then-rival league the American Football League (AFL), the annual Super Bowl has gained a place in the American and the sports culture as the biggest sports event in the nation.
Initially, it was agreed that the two leagues’ champion teams would meet in the AFL–NFL World Championship Game until the merger was officially put in place in 1970. After the merger, each league was designated as a “conference”, and the game has since been played between the conference champs to determine the league’s overall champion. Last Year 2020 : Sunday, February 2 2020 Super Bowl LIV Game, AFC Champion Kansas City defeated NFC Champion San Francisco | 31 - 20 in Miami | Patrick Mahomes quarterback and coach Andy Reid became the face of the leauge, guiding the Kansas City Chiefs to their 1st Super Bowl win. Patrick Mahomes was the Super Bowl MVP.
2019 : Sunday, February 3 2019 Super Bowl LIII Game, AFC Champion New England defeated NFC Champion Los Angeles Rams | 13 - 3 in Atlanta | Tom Brady, Bill Belichick become the oldest wining coach and quarterback, guiding the New England Patriots to their 6th Super Bowl win and biggest winning Super Bowl Margin. This was archived despite the match being the lowest scoring in Super Bowl History which was unexpected with the two high powered offenses on display, Julian Edelman revived the Super Bowl MVP.
Usually played on the first Sunday in February, the final game of the season is usually accompanied by a wave of excitement, cheers and high-fives, but it also the most gambled-on sporting events in the world. Despite their bankroll or previous experience, fans are always looking for a chance to predict the game outcome and engage in some betting action on the side. Every year, fans bet more and more, and judging by the figures reported on each and every year, that trend isn’t likely to change anytime soon.
Since the inception of Super Bowl, favorites own a 33-15 record straight up and 26-18-2 ATS. There have only been six instances where the favorite won the game straight up but failed to cover the spread. Those outcomes happened in 2009 (Super Bowl XLIII), 2005 (Super Bowl XXXIX), 2004 (Super Bowl XXXVIII), 1996 (Super Bowl XXX), 1989 (Super Bowl XXIII) and 1976 (Super Bowl X).
Only two Super Bowl games have ended in pushes or ties. Those matchups took place in 1997 (Super Bowl XXXI, Pats 21, Packers 35) and 2000 (Super Bowl XXIV, Rams 23, Titans 16). In the 2014-15 (Super Bowl XLIX) game between the New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks, the closing line was PK (Pick ‘em) marking the first time in Super Bowl history that none of the teams playing the game were betting favorites. Both teams were tied 14–14 at halftime, the Seahawks were able to build a ten-point lead by the end of the 3rd quarter. The Patriots, however, rallied to take a 28–24 lead with less than two minutes left in the game clock.
The historical Super Bowl 50 marked the “Golden Anniversary” of the game. The Carolina Panthers closed the regular season with a 15–1 record and the best offense in the league, and quarterback Cam Newton was named the Most Valuable Player (MVP). On the other hand, veteran Peyton Manning led the Denver Broncos to their eight Super Bowl appearance.
The game was one of the most defensive matches in the game history, although, the Broncos took an early lead and never trailed, beating the Panthers 24-10 in Peyton Manning’s last game in the NFL.
Super Bowl LI was on of the best ones yet. The New England Patriots were on a 28-3 deficit against the Atlanta Falcons and many thought the Tom Brady magic was gone, but they were so wrong.
At the second half, the Patriots were able to tie the game, making it the first and only Super Bowl to go to overtime. In the end, the Patriots were able to get the win and their fifth Super Bowl title.

Super Bowl gambling guide: Point spread , prop bets ... - The Washington Post
As the nation awaits Super Bowl 50, the sports books in Las Vegas are once again licking their chops. Last year Vegas sports books took in $116 million in wagers, down only slightly from the record of $119.4 million wagered in 2014. According to the Nevada Gaming Control Board, Vegas sports books have profited in 24 of the last 26 Super Bowls.

Before you run out to buy shares of Wynn Resorts or Las Vegas Sands on hopes of a Super Bowl 50 bounty, however, there are two facts to know:
Both casino majors make the vast majority of their profits in Asia, so the results from their Nevada sports wagering operations are insignificant to total profitability. Las Vegas Sands generated just 13% of corporate EBITDA in the U.S. in 2015 (Macao represented 55% and Singapore 32%) and Wynn's pre-announced 2015 results showed Macao represented about 60% of corporate EBITDA.
Sports books are the least profitable operations for the casino industry. According to the Nevada Gaming Control Board the win percentage (revenues net of payouts to gamblers) for sports books statewide in 2015 was 5.47%, well below the percentages earned from table games (craps 14%; blackjack 12%: baccarat 13%) and even lower than the 6.57% win percentage earned from slot machines.
So, now that the boring stuff is out of the way let me share some of my picks--assuming you are in a jurisdiction where gambling is legal--for the big game.
The first thing to know is that Vegas odds are posted in factors of $100 wagered. The figure stated is amount needed to win $100 if the figure is negative or amount to be won from a $100 bet if the figure is positive. So, 2-to-1 odds are expressed as "+200" and 1-to-2 odds are "-200."
If not indicated--as in a point spread bet, for instance--the standard for Vegas sports bets is -110. So if you bet the the Broncos and take 6 points, you have to put down $110 to win $100. That percentage difference between amount laid and amount earned--9.1% in a -110 situation--is the book's commission, also known as the juice, the vig/vigorish, or the reason your uncle walks with a limp.
The point spread is the most widely followed indicator and it has moved dramatically since it opened the night of the conference championship games. After most books opened with Carolina -3.5 or -4.0, the spread has widened out to Carolina -6. Apparently the high-rolling regular bettors--"sharps" in Vegas parlance--have been wagering heavily in favor of Carolina. This has caused the line to increase as the books desperately scramble to take in some money on the Broncos to balance out their exposure.
I thought four points was far too low given Carolina's dominance in the NFC championship game and near-perfect regular season. Denver's defense is superb, but there are legitimate questions about Peyton Manning's arm strength and obviously no such questions about Carolina's 26-year-old quarterback, emerging superstar Cam Newton.
Quarterback Cam Newton of the Carolina Panthers addresses the media during media availability prior ... [+] to Super Bowl 50 at the San Jose Convention Center/ San Jose Marriott on February 3, 2016 in San Jose, Calif. (Photo by Thearon W. Henderson/Getty Images)
A six-point spread is much more reasonable and much like a stock that I believe is fairly valued, I'll leave it alone and search for value elsewhere. The over/under--"total" in Vegas parlance--also seems very reasonable at 45 points, and actually equals the average output in the past 10 Super Bowls. No value there.
The money line--betting on a team to win without a point spread--is usually where to find value. This case is no different and with Denver currently quoted on Bovada.lv at +165, I like that as a long shot call. So, you win $165 on a $100 bet and the inverse call--Carolina -195--has been bled of any value by the flood of money favoring the Panthers.
So, if I'm going to take Denver to win the game outright, I'm going to enhance my chances with proposition bets; "props" as they're called by hardened gamblers.
I'm not talking about betting the coin flip or the length of Lady Gaga's rendition of the national anthem. I'm talking a couple statistical bets--out of hundreds to choose from--that most people would recognize as fantasy football grows in popularity.
Denver simply cannot win if it turns the ball over. Carolina forced the most turnovers in the NFL during the regular season and Peyton Manning's midseason swoon led the Broncos to a league-worst 23 interceptions in the regular season. If that pattern recurs, Carolina will win easily.
Remember, though, Manning has not thrown an interception in either of his two playoff games this year. I was quite impressed with his the ability of his receivers--especially Emmanuel Sanders--to fight for the ball versus the Patriots' secondary in the last game. Also, Denver's three-headed monster at tight-end--Owen Daniels, Virgil Green and Vernon Davis--offers Manning additional low-risk options.
So, let's bet another 100 units on Peyton not throwing an interception, a bet that is currently quoted at +185.
Finally, the MVP voting offers another opportunity for value. So much money has been wagered on Cam Newton that odds on him winning the MVP have dropped to a ridiculous -130. He was the best player in the NFL this year and should easily take home the regular season MVP trophy, but to put negative odds on an individual player in a single game is just crazy.
So, let's go with our hearts and pick Peyton Manning for MVP (+275.) Statistically those odds are also too low, but, really, what are the chances of Peyton not getting the MVP if Denver wins?

So, we put down 300 units with a maximum profit of $625. That's not bad for a single game, and certainly puts stock market returns--especially this year--to shame.
I have researched stocks for 27 years, starting fresh out of college at Lehman Brothers and then moving to Donaldson, Lufkin and Jenrette. At DLJ I was a Senior Analyst
