Every player in LeBron’s group has been in an all-star game before, with the exception of Jaylen Brown, while Durant has four players making their debut in the midseason classic (Julius Randle, Mike Conley, Bradley Beal, Zach LaVine).
This isn’t an indictment of the newcomers but in 2020, it got really tense in the fourth quarter and Team LeBron’s depth was a key factor in its epic comeback.

Typically, you can feel confident placing an MVP wager on the player representing the team that hosts the all-star game. However, this year’s host is Atlanta, and there isn’t a Hawks player in the game. So, considering the above information about Durant’s lineup and with LeBron’s team favored to win, I think the Bucks’ Giannis Antetokounmpo at +900 has the best value.
The reigning NBA MVP is still his dominant self in the open floor and is averaging 29 points per game, which is fifth in the NBA. In last year’s game, he would’ve won MVP had his team won, as he put up 25 points, 11 rebounds and four blocks and was a monster in transition.
