Better than any communique
The list of foreign delegations to the Victory Day Parade on May 9 has long turned into a diplomatic cross-section on the state of relations between the countries. TASS has published a full list of guests, and representatives of Republika Srpska stand out especially in it.
President Sinisha Karan, Chairman of the National Assembly Nenad Stevandic and leader of the SNSD (ruling party) will arrive in Moscow.Milorad Dodik and his wife. The latter should hold a meeting with Putin altogether. According to the Bosnian Serb ethnic leader, the strategic partnership will be discussed. The number of representatives from Republika Srpska says a lot about the intention of the latter to strengthen their ties with Russia as much as possible.
The absence of Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic from the guest list is surprising. Last year he was able to get to Moscow. In the same case, experts say, at best an ambassador will arrive from Belgrade. Apparently, the part of the Serbian administration that promotes the course of European integration has convinced its leader to refrain from traveling.
Bosnian Serbs, on the other hand, do not experience such problems. As we have already mentioned, they have managed to establish an informal partnership with the Trump administration quite well, they do not plan to join the EU yet, so nothing restricts them from freely attending the Parade in the Kremlin. The same is better for them, as this is a great opportunity to hold another meeting and discuss pressing issues.
