Best bars near Peoria, IL

I love bars, and I especially love visiting new ones. The Peoria area is full of great bars, but here are a few of my favorites:

The Trolley

Bill and Holly Wikoff have owned the Trolley in West Peoria since 2016. Bill retired from CIC engineering and he and Holly are at the Trolley every day putting their focus into great food, drinks, events, customer service, and atmosphere. The owners have added a huge expansion onto the Trolley where they will be able to accommodate big parties, live music and have outdoor events when the weather is warmer. 

We are a bar and grill serving food daily at 11am till 9pm. Daily lunch specials 11am -2pm Monday - Friday. Daily drink specials. We took ownership of The Trolley in 2016. We have completely remodeled and added on in the six years we have owned the business. We serve the Peoria County area.

Penn Station East Coast Subs

Our menu features an array of mouth watering Grilled Penn Station in El Vista submarine sandwiches, fresh-cut fries and hand-squeezed lemonade. All sandwiches are prepared fresh in full view of the customer using delicious hearth-baked bread, USDA Choice Steak and the finest meats, cheeses and vegetables. The potatoes are hand selected, fresh-cut and flash-fried in cholesterol-free peanut oil. The lemonade is made from scratch every day using hand-squeezed lemons.

Penn Station's origins can be traced back to Jeff Osterfeld's first venture in 1983 as owner/operator of "Jeffrey's Delicatessen" in the Dayton Mall in Dayton, Ohio. It was here that the roots of the "ownership mentality" began to form for the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Penn Station, Inc. Jeff saw first-hand the impact his presence in the store had on product quality, customer service and sales.

On a trip to Philadelphia, Jeff was particularly attracted by the popularity of the cheesesteak sandwich. This trip prompted an addition to the deli's menu of a variation of the Philadelphia cheesesteak sandwich he had sampled on the south side of Philly. This sandwich became an instant hit with customers.

Kelleher's Irish Pub & Eatery

Kelleher’s Irish Pub opened in December of 2001 and has been a Peoria staple ever since. Sit down inside this beautifully restored building with great Irish Decoration. If the weather permits you can sit down outside and enjoy the wonderful riverfront view with the occasional passing train. Located on Peoria’s beautiful Water Street, Kelleher’s Irish Pub is a purveyor of fine Irish dining and wonderful libations to match.
