We suggest getting a robot mop and vacuum that comes with a user-friendly base station. This allows you to wash or replace cleaning pads, as well as empty and clean the soiled water tank.

1. Roborock S7 Max Ultra
This powerful robot vacuum and mop does lots of work. It cleans your floors, detects carpets, and automatically empty its own water and dust tanks. It also has a powerful suction and is able to even dispensate detergent. However, all that functionality is priced at a high cost of $1200. It's the highest-priced robot vacuum and mop package I've reviewed so far.
In the box out of the box, the S7 Max Ultra is very simple to set up. When you plug it into the wall, it prompts you to map your home using sensors and will continue to use this information to stay clear of obstacles. In our testing it did not get stuck on power cords, long curtains, and even dog toys. It's not perfect, and occasionally it gets stuck on things like unruly toys, tangled cables or books.
You can control the S7 Max Ultra via its smartphone app, which is where you'll find all the advanced features that differentiate it from other robotic vacuums and mop machines. There are room-specific cleaning settings and mopping options as well as a schedule planner and a power strength choice for vacuuming and mopping. It is also possible to integrate the S7 Max Ultra with Google Assistant or Amazon Alexa to create a smart home. The wide range of features means that the S7 Max Ultra can do almost everything a traditional robot vacuum can do, but at a less than half the price.

The S7 Max Ultra's ability to vacuum is impressive and it did a very good job of picking up pet hair, dirt, and other debris from carpet and hard flooring. Its automatic dustbin-emptying feature worked flawlessly during our tests, which was reassuring. It also boasts a 5100 Pa HyperForce suction rating, which is considerably superior to the 2,500Pa suction power of the S6 MaxV and S7.
The S7 Max Ultra's mopping capability was also good, though not the best we've seen. It used a special microfiber mop pad that sucks up liquids and employs sonic vibrating technology to scrub your floors up to 3000 times per minute which was a bit faster than the X1 Omni's circular pads, which spin at a speed of 180 revolutions per minute. The S7 Max Ultra's ReactiveAI 2.0 obstacle recognition system was excellent. During our testing it didn't snag on any objects, and it avoided power cords, long curtains and other obstacles that could be in the way 100% of the time.
2. Narwal Freo
Vacuuming and mopping your floors is a chore that people hate but is essential to maintain a clean home. It is also a messy, and often stinky task, which can be difficult to complete since it involves cleaning up the dustbins and water, and ensuring that no debris or hair does not get stuck in the traps or brushes. Robots that vacuum and mop have become extremely popular. A lot of these machines require you to empty the dustbin and wash and rinsing mop pads by hand. This can be a hassle particularly if you need to do this several times during or after cleaning sessions. This is why we're pleased to see that a lot of manufacturers are introducing self-emptying robotics that make the entire process easier and less stressful.
The Narwal Freo is the latest version of this class of robotic cleaners and it has a plethora of new software, sensor and hardware enhancements designed to keep it at the top of its game. The patent-pending DirtSense Technology and the Smart-Swing feature both work together to better identify the floor that is being cleaned, and adjust the cleaning mode based on the floor type. The Freo also registers dirtiness levels and automatically washes its mops once they are full, which improves the effectiveness of subsequent cleaning sessions by preventing returning to soiled areas.
The Freo is also an improvement over its predecessor in that it is operated directly from the LCD touchscreen at its base station. This is in addition to the app for smartphones. This is the first robot vacuum and mop combo to have this feature. It's a nice addition for those who don't wish to use the app. like this can even adjust your routing during the session by using the controls on the LCD screen and ensure that the robot is doing what you would like it to do.
The Narwal Freo also does a decent job of keeping its noise level down when it is working, coming in at only 63dB when it is in suction mode. However, maintaining the Freo isn't entirely hands-free since it is necessary to clean different components such as the primary brush roll as well as side brushes.
3. Ecovacs Deebot T9+
The Ecovacs Deebot T9+ (available at The Good Guys for $1279) is one of the most efficient self-emptying robot vacuums and mop combinations on the market. It can plan out your home, vacuum and mop while detecting and avoiding obstructions. It can even spray an air freshener.
It's easy to set up, utilizing the app to create a precise map of your home that it utilizes while cleaning. The app allows you to choose certain rooms or areas to be cleaned. You can also select the time that you want to start cleaning so that your floors are cleaned while you are asleep or away.
In our tests in our tests, the T9+ was extremely impressive when it came to navigating obstacles. However, it does have a tendency to take slightly manic routes around the house, which frequently meant it ended up back at the same spot it started cleaning just a few minutes earlier. This didn't happen often, but it was enough to be noticed and is worth keeping in mind.
The T9+ comes complete with a range of accessories including the robot cleaner, docking station, and an automatic-emptying station. The mopping module and the dust bin replacement are available separately.
The improved navigation, mapping, and obstacle detection systems are designed to ensure your home is clean without interruptions. The new 3D detection and obstacle avoidance technology detects objects with high-precision resolutions to prevent collisions and entanglements, or even disruptions.
The Deebot T9+ is capable of vacuuming, sweeping and mopping simultaneously, leaving your floor looking good as new. The disposable mopping pads are simple to put on and the microfiber cloth effectively traps dust, blocks away stains and avoids leaving residue. The huge volume 2.5L auto-empty station can hold up to 30 days of debris without leaking, making it easy to keep your home tidy with minimal effort. The T9+ also features an upgraded 3000Pa vacuum motor that provides powerful suction for a more efficient clean.
4. iRobot Combo j7+
The iRobot Combo j7+ robot is an excellent choice for cleaning floors. It's a mop and a vacuum all in one and it has both excellent obstacle avoidance and home navigation. This lets it map your house and clean areas, without crashing into walls or furniture. The app allows you to create zones to mark areas that must be cleaned and areas you don't wish to clean. You can also establish boundaries for no-mop and non-sweep zones.
IRobot's iAdapt 2.0 technology is a major component of what makes the Combo J7+ so intelligent. This uses the front camera that sits atop most of its robots to detect dangers, like pet waste or power cords and then avoid them. In addition iAdapt 2.0 allows the Combo j7+ to identify dirt levels and concentrate on these areas more than other.
When the Combo J7+ detects it is on a surface that must be cleaned, the robot arm equipped with mop pad lifts off from underneath the vacuum. It then mops the floor until it detects that the mopping pads are dry which only takes about 90 seconds.
The Combo J7+ can sense carpeting, too. This is great for homes that have carpeting and rugs. It won't try to push the rug across, but instead will back away if the device feels it is unable to cross the space without damaging the carpet or itself.
I was able to control the Combo J7+ using the mobile app, which is very intuitive and well designed. It also integrates with Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa and you can instruct it to begin cleaning by speaking. The only downside I found was that the Combo j7+'s small water tank means you have to refill it often, or else limit its mopping to smaller areas and run it in eco-mode more often.
Another drawback is that the Combo j7+'s dust bin is small and you must empty it manually. I also discovered that the Combo J7+'s mop pads to be less efficient than other brands and that's a shame since it's a fantastic combination robot.
