Best Incremental Games
There is usually a snowball effect that happens when you make progress, which makes your clicks more productive. This is why the “incremental” name is used. There are also many games that run even when you’re not playing, which is why they’re called “idle.” As far as clicker games go, what are the best ones for PC?
When you play a clicker game, you can turn complicated ideas into a series of single clicks and computerised processes. If you want to learn more about it, you should look into it. It’s an interesting idea that’s worth looking into. There is a lot to learn about how to get the most game out of a single mouse click in “idle games.” In this way, incremental games make long role-playing games easier to play for people who only have a few minutes each day to play games.
This type of game used to be found only in the dark corners of Itch.io and Kongregate. The genre has become more popular in recent years, and stores like Steam are full of new idle, clicker, and incremental games for you to play. It’s almost too much.
The good news is that you have PCGamesN to help you find the best idle games in the following list. The nine games below are worth your time. Some clickers are free, but there are a few exceptions, so if you want to find some of the best free PC games, you might find an idle game that fits your needs.
AdVenture Capitalist makes you look like an entrepreneur who wants to make a lot of money in the investment business. When you start, you only have a lemonade stand. Soon, you’ll be making pizzas and managing hockey teams. You’ll also be making movies and even running banks. When you buy a new business, you’ll make more money and be able to make more goods faster, but it can be hard to keep your attention on all of them at once. The good news is that you can hire managers to run each business for you so that you can work on other things.
In AdVenture Capitalist, that snowball effect is at the very heart of what we do there. Watching each business run on its own while you keep adding to your ever-growing list of businesses is a great way to get hooked on clicker games. A game called AdVenture Capitalist also takes the term “idle game” very seriously. Even when you aren’t playing the game, you can still make money. If only capitalism was this easy to get into for everyone.
It is part RPG, part side-scrolling game, and all clicker. For this game, you’ll play as a group of fantasy heroes as they fight their way through huge groups of monsters. Making money by killing people makes it possible to buy new crusaders. They can get better and have abilities that can be bought with gold. As you progress, your small army will keep getting bigger, and the damage they can do will keep getting better.
The Crusaders play a lot of formations. When you move your party around, you can get more gold. It’s possible for some characters to do more damage when they’re next to certain types of people, or if they’re in the back row. It’s a good game to play if you like your clickers with a little bit of strategy in them.
It’s called “Realm Grinder.” You play the role of a ruler of a small fantasy kingdom. You can get coins by clicking on your realm, and then you can spend them on buildings that make money for you. Inns and blacksmiths keep collecting coins even when you’re not around.
Where Realm Grinder really stakes its own claim in the world of idle games, and clickers in particular, is the ability to choose a good or evil direction for your kingdom. Choosing one or the other lets you join forces with different fantasy races and build unique buildings and upgrades. You can only make one choice at a time. Once you do, you can’t change your mind. Replayability isn’t exactly a common theme among clicker games, but Realm Grinder manages to offer up a surprising amount of variety.
Cookie Clicker is one of the first incremental clickers, and it’s one of the most well-known. In the beginning, you click on a big cookie and each click earns you one cookie. Bake a lot of cookies, and you can buy new cursors that will help you click on things. You can also hire grandmas to make cookies, plant a field of cookie seeds, and make your clicks work better.
As soon as you get enough cookies, you can start over and try to get new upgrades like heavenly chips, play new minigames to get a lot of cookies at once, and even trade with the Cookie Dragon. This is how it works: There are also events that give you a chance to get more cookies for a short time. In the event that you enjoy “idle games,” Cookie Clicker is a game you should try out. Cookie Clicker is also on our list of cooking games, if you prefer games about running a restaurant.
For people who like to click things to make them disappear, Clicker Heroes might be right for them Whenever you click on a monster, it does a single point of damage. Soon, though, you’ll be able to get allies that automatically hurt other people. Each member of your party can be levelled up with coins that monsters drop when they die. Each character has abilities that can be bought over time, making them more powerful.
The best part of Clicker Heroes is when you see how much damage you do grow from a few to a lot. Surprise! There’s also a lot of choice, as there may be a lot of different character abilities to unlock at any given time. There aren’t any bad choices, though, because everything you do affects how much damage you can do. This makes build making in RPGs more relaxing.
Melvor Idle, a free-to-play MMORPG, came out on Nov. 18, 2021, and it was a big hit. RuneScape was a big influence. The developers wanted to make a game that was both simple and fun.
This game, Melvor Idle, has a mediaeval fantasy setting and a lot of attention paid to skills. When you click or tap, you can improve your stats and fight monsters with your own unique mix of skills. Melvor Idle is one of the more detailed browser idle games out there.
Originally released on Steam in 2018, Cell to Singularity: Evolution Never Ends is a new favourite for people who like to click. It’s actually one of the most recent games on our list. When it came out in 2021, fans and players were very excited about it and gave it a lot of praise.
When you play Cell to Singularity, you’ll see a complicated tech tree and clicker mechanics that show how much we know about the world. There’s also a colourful 3D rendering for good measure. Clicking helps you speed up the process of evolution, so you can see new things in the universe right away.

New to Incremental Games, What are the best of the best?
This subreddit is for lovers of games that feature an incremental mechanism, such as unlocking progressively more powerful upgrades, or discovering new ways to play the game. This genre is growing at a break-neck pace, be part of the revolution!
So far the only one I have played is adventure capitalist. I've looked through the wiki but they are too many. what are some the best games to try?
Trimps for sure, along with swarm simulator. Both are on kong.
Progress Quest (Been playing this since the days of eq1 lol)
edit: (If you want diversity in style... that list is pretty strong. none are really excessively like the others play style wise. I also do adventure communist (which is broke) runescape idle adventures (which is broke) and several others "lesser" games. You might like Time Clickers for something different too. I just can't stand kongregate at all... so pretty much games exclusive to it, I won't play.)
Kittens Game (Very rich content both early game and late game)
Candybox II (A cheerful adventure in ASCII)
A Dark Room (A somber adventure in ASCII, a bit similar to survival horror)
Factory Idle (Hard in difficulty, creative in gameplay)
Tour of Heroes (Very creative and interesting mechanics)
I had never heard of Tour of Heroes before.
Realm Grinder is one of the best, well above some I've seen below, it kept me playing for months and I still go from time to time to check for new updates !
5 years late but I got into it looks fun
Clicker heroes and realm Grinder are 2 of my favorite games
Upvoted for Realm Grinder. Great incremental. Also Sandcastle Builder if you're crazy (I love it) and the formidable Anti-Idle: The Game.
This was my gateway. Has so much to offer idle players and active players. Great visuals and balance/scale for a long long time. Everytime a large update drops, I replay from nothing until I've exhausted all of the content (barring extremist achievements).
a dark room and crank are the most atmospheric for me. there are a lot really good ones, just use the search function and look for a "best games" thread here. there are threads that aren´t older than a month.

Trimps, Crank and A Dark Room are all extremely memorable.
One I haven't seen mentioned here that was decent- Spaceplan
I've been meaning to try out anti-idle, whenever I get enough time to really start delving into it
NGU IDLE is hands down the best incremental game there is. Got over 2000 hours of NGU on steam.
Orb of Creation is pretty cool too, I am just starting but it is nice for what I have played.
Reactor Incremental, Idling to Rule the Gods, Candy Box.
If you can handle things that are complicated, then Sandcastle Builder. Unfortunately, it's not being updated any more, but what is there will keep you going for a long time.
Others that I've enjoyed are Swarm Sim, Kitten's Game, Trimps, and CivClicker.
Minor Necropost, but I'm not leaving this thread until Clickpocalypse 2 has been mentioned. It is pretty damn good in my opinion. http://minmaxia.com/c2/

Based on the feedback so far I have completely reworked the list.
In case you would like to have the games in alphabetical orders you can check this link .
In case you would like to have the games sorted by popularity (views of my videos in this case) you can check this link .
In case you would like to have the games sorted by their prices (Steam prices here) you can check this link . In-App-Purchases or something like that might still occur.
I have added web links, steam links, adroind links and IOS links if available in all lists so you can also make your decisions based on which device you prefer to use.
I’ll just comment and add some games I can think of that were missing (or I just over read them, ignore it then)
Crank - https://faedine.com/games/crank/ (might not fit the genre?)
Distance incremental - https://jacorb90.me/DistInc.github.io/main.html (also visit https://jacorb90.me he has a site for every incremental game he made! You can add each individually I think)
The Perfect Tower II - https://store.steampowered.com/app/1197260/The_Perfect_Tower_II/ (there’s a 1 too, but the only link I could find is Kongregate and doesn’t work for me)
Progress Knight (rather short unless updated in the past 6 months) - https://ihtasham42.github.io/progress-knight/
I want more games like Crank. I also need to find an android version lol
Progress Knight Reborn has more content than the original. I believe the original was abandoned, could be wrong though.
Thank you. Actually Orb of Creaton was on my list, but the link no longer seemed to work so I removed it. I will check the other game, too.
https://www.fs-studios.com/games/perfecttower/ Here is a link for perfect tower 1, though I'm pretty sure it isn't updated anymore
This community is great. Thanks a lot for all the additional games and links. I will check them out and add them as soon as I can.
Really wish crank had a mobile-friendly interface :(
I would also add Anti Idle: The Game to this, though you do need to download the executable off of their discord to play. It's such a shame so few people learn about it nowadays
I have found it on Kongregate, but it's a Flash game so it can no longer be played without issues. http://www.kongregate.com/games/Tukkun/anti-idle-the-game
Thank you. I will check if there is a browser version, Steam version, app in the Play store or something.
This post needs to end up in the resources list.
The top of the resource list has a community sourced list of games called dSolver's Incremental Games Plaza already
It’s missing classics and most of the games on it are crap.
This is missing quite a lot of games, but it would be quite a daunting task for one person to make anything even close to a comprehensive list. A few I noticed are missing: Theory of Magic, A Dark Room, Swarm Sim, Dunno Dice, Idle Dice, Idle Idle Game Dev, Pincremental, Pachinkremental, Megami Quest, Megami Quest 2, Cave Heroes, Pixels Filling Squares, Endless Stairwell, Bitburner, Succubox, Galaxia, Omega Layers, Progress Knight, Groundhog Day, Idle Loops, Increlution, Lazy Kings, Critter Mound, Clickpocalypse, Evolve Idle, Candy Box, Candy Box 2, Space Lich Omega, Idling to Rule the Gods, Wizard and Minion, NGU, Sword Fight, SpacePlan, and Cookie Clicker.
In the sidebar, list is publicly available. The community already came together and solved this problem, then collectively forgot the list exists. It just needs someone to update it and it'll be good to go.
I plan on updating it when I'm free later today, but feel free to beat me to it.
