Falsely convicted of having been the cause of sending a man into a coma, Heeseung is sentenced to two years in prison. There, he meets Ni-Ki; a man tall, cocky and perverse to a point of managing to get under Heeseung’s skin and in his head.
__________
P2 : In the shadows of this smoke_filled room
Ni-Ki had gone through life unsure of many things and had learned early in life that sometimes people were dealt shitty cards. In prison, he learns how to play the games he needs to to make others heel at his feet and he’d learned that in order to get certain things he would have to do things he hated. But when a new inmate with soft skin, bright doe eyes and a look far too pretty and innocent for his own good is assigned as his new cellmate, Ni-Ki learns how to play a different game, perhaps one he thinks he’s winning at but ultimately ends up losing somewhere along the way.
__________
P3 : I spend most every night
Even months after his release, Heeseung still can’t seem to get his feet fully on the ground, suspended mid air between reaching for a ghost and being tugged towards reality. There must be something wrong with him, there has to be. There must be, otherwise how can he in his right mind explain the gaping hole the very man that ruined his life has left in his chest? How can he explain he’s somehow free of him but still held captive by his own memories that leave him bereft and yearning for something more?
