A powerful Force user whose internal struggles have long placed him on the edge of light and dark
Deal Special damage to target enemy and inflict Defense Down for 1 turn. If the target enemy is a Tank, this attack deals 100% more damage. If the target enemy is an Attacker or Support, inflict Offense Down and Potency Down for 1 turn. If the target enemy is a Healer, inflict Speed Down for 1 turn.
Deal Special damage to target enemy, remove 100% Turn Meter and, if there is any version of Rey in the allied Leader slot, Blind the target enemy for 2 turns. Gain Offense Up for 2 turns. While in Grand Arenas if all allies were Light Side at the start of battle: When this ability is used, Ben Solo’s cooldowns are reduced by 1. If Galactic Legend Rey is in the allied Leader slot, this attack instead deals true damage and inflicts Healing Immunity for 4 turns, which can’t be copied, dispelled, evaded, or resisted.
Deal Special damage to target enemy and inflict Armor Shred until the end of the encounter. If all allies were Light Side at the start of battle, dispel all buffs from all enemies and deal true damage again to all enemies. All allies gain 5% Turn Meter (max 25%) for each enemy damaged by this ability. If this ability defeats an enemy, Ben Solo gains 10% Offense (stacking, max 50%) and all other Light Side allies gain 5% Offense (stacking, max 25%) until the end of battle. This attack can't be evaded.
At the start of battle, if all of Ben Solo’s allies were Light Side and there is any version of Rey in the allied Leader slot, Ben Solo gains 15% Max Health and 10 Speed for each Light Side ally (excluding summons). Ben Solo ignores taunt effects during his turn. While in Grand Arenas: Ben Solo's attacks ignore Protection.
If all allies were Light Side at the start of battle and there is any version of Rey in the allied Leader slot: All allies gain Instant Defeat Immunity for 1 turn at the start of each encounter, which can’t be copied, dispelled, or prevented. While Ben Solo is active, Rey can’t be defeated. Ben Solo can’t be defeated while Rey is above 50% Health. While in Grand Arenas, if Galactic Legend Rey is in the allied Leader slot: If the enemy in the Leader slot begins their turn with Ben Solo defeated and Ben still has an active ally, he revives with 51% Health and all allies gain Instant Defeat Immunity for the rest of the encounter, which can’t be copied, dispelled, or prevented.

Kylo Ren , also known as Ben Solo , was born in 5 ABY to Leia Organa [2] and Han Solo [1] .
Ben was quickly recruited to be a Jedi by Luke Skywalker , who trained him as a Padawan along with other children that were also Force-sensitive. At one point, when Ben was alone, Supreme Leader Snoke of the First Order reached out to him via the Force, drawing him to the Dark Side. [2]
Skywalker sensed the darkness rising in Ben, and attacked him in his sleep out of pure instinct. The green glow of Skywalker's blade awoke Solo and he caved in the roof, knocking Skywalker out. When he regained consciousness, Skywalker climbed out of the rubble of the building that collapsed on him. His temple was burned to the ground by Solo and all his other students were either dead or missing. [2]
After Skywalker's temple had been destroyed by Solo, Skywalker abandoned the planet and went into hiding on Ahch-To [2] , leaving only a splintered map behind, giving a piece of the map to his droid, R2-D2 , and another to a Takodana villager named Lor San Tekka [1] .
Ren joined the First Order [1] and the Knights Of Ren [6] , a group of Force-sensitive marauders from the Unknown Regions employed by the First Order. Ren had a obsession with his grandfather, Darth Vader , having Vader's deformed mask onboard his capital ship [1] , the Finalizer , a Resurgent -class Battlecruiser. Ren was not always certain about the Dark Side, being dragged back towards the Light. When he felt the pull to the Light, he talked to Vader's mask for help, receiving visions created by a reincarnated Emperor Palpatine [6] to make him fall farther towards the Dark Side.
Ren was tasked with finding Luke Skywalker. He raided Takodana, a village on the desert planet of Jakku and the residence of Lor San Tekka. He failed to obtain the map, but he did, however, capture San Tekka and the Resistance pilot Poe Dameron . When he learned that San Tekka no longer had the map, he killed him out of anger and took Dameron prisoner. [1]
Onboard the Finalizer , Ren used the Force to read Dameron's thoughts. He learned that Dameron gave the piece of the map to BB-8 , a BB-series astromech droid. Dameron was later rescued by FN-2187 , a First Order stormtrooper who was defecting and needed a pilot. Kylo sends down forces to retrieve the droid but with no success, hearing that a girl was with them when they escaped Jakku. Ren captures the girl, who he finds out is named Rey, thinking he wouldn't need the droid if he had Rey's mind, but Ren was unsuccessful in retrieving the map from Rey's mind. [1]
Ren took Rey to Starkiller Base, were he later confronted his father, killing him as the Supreme Leader had instructed, freeing him from the pull to the Light Side. Ren fights off FN-2187, who now goes by Finn, outside the base that is being attacked by the Resistance, eventually defeating him. When Ren tried to use the Force to pull his grandfather 's lightsaber from the snow using the Force, it flies by him and into the hands of Rey. He turns around and attacks Rey. [1]
Snoke ordered General Hux retrieve an injured Ren from the ruined base so he can complete his training. [1]
