Sally and Harry get a job and Dick feels kept out when he can't come to Dr. Albright and Nina's women-only study group.
At school, Dick hears Dr. Albright and Nina talking about going to a women-only study group and when they tell him he can't come, he feels kept out. This however doesn't stop Dick and he tries to figure out how to 'get in'. At the same time, Sally shops 'till she drops which annoys Dick because it costs lots of money and he tells her so. Sally is fed up with Dick telling her off about this and, together with Harry, she gets a job in a pancake restaurant. Tommy doubts if he should tell August where he really comes from.—Marco van Hoof
This isn't the first time John Lithgow has appeared in drag. In The World According to Garp (1982)), Lithgow played Roberta Muldoon. He also appeared in drag at the conclusion of Raising Cain (1992) as one of Lithgow's character's multiple personalities.
When Dick storms in and starts taking off his clothes, you can see Tommy smile, and look away twice, trying to hide the fact that he's breaking character.
Dr. Dick Solomon: Well, that was a wash! The woman I love won't let me be a woman! I need some herbal tea and a fat-free cookie.
"I Enjoy Being A Dick" is a really good episode, because yes, this title applies to Dick's personality very well. At work, Dick overhears Dr. Albright and Nina talking about a study club for women. Dick feels left out when he is told he cannot go, so he will do everything in his power to attend. Meanwhile, Sally goes shopping and does lots of it. When Dick reminds her how much shopping costs, she becomes angry but finds a job at a pancake house. Harry also finds a job. Tommy continues his relationship with August but has thoughts about whether he should tell her who he really is.
This episode is better than the last episode. It's funny and has some very surprising moments. Did not expect to see John Lithgow dressed in drag. But that was absolutely hilarious! One of the funniest moments of the first season, in my humble opinion. The other storylines are also really good-especially with Tommy and August.
My Grade: A-

Completely unplayable on Chrome. Zooming out in the browser doesn't shrink the screen, it shrinks how much of the screen you can seen. Having a great story doesn't matter if you can't see it.
