Privacy Policy

Who we are

Befino Plates is a mobile app published by Ella Barrett ("we", "us"). It lets you build a meal from a restaurant's daily menu, review it in a cart, and choose delivery or pickup. This policy explains what information the app handles and where it goes.

In short, the app handles only what it needs to get your plate made exactly as you built it.

What stays on your device

The meals you build, their modifiers (ingredients added or removed, quantities, extras), your cart and any saved preferences stay in the app's local storage on your phone. We don't have a copy of them on our servers.

• Cart contents and running totals, calculated on your device.
• Saved delivery address or pickup preference, if you choose to save them.
• Deleting the app or clearing its data removes this information.

What's sent when you place an order

When you confirm checkout, the details needed to fill your order are sent to the restaurant: the items and modifiers you picked, delivery or pickup, and the contact details you enter (such as your name, phone number and, for delivery, your address). The restaurant uses them to prepare and hand over your food and to contact you about that order.

Each restaurant handles its order records under its own privacy practices. We don't use your order details for marketing, and we don't build a profile of your eating habits.

Payments

Payments are handled by a third-party payment processor. Your card details go straight to that processor and aren't stored by Befino Plates or seen by us. The processor may keep transaction records as the law and its own privacy policy require.

What we leave off the plate

• No advertising SDKs and no ads.
• No third-party analytics or behavioral tracking.
• No cross-app tracking and no advertising identifiers.
• No selling or renting of personal information.
• No precise background location. Any location use happens only while you enter or confirm a delivery address, and only with your permission.

When you contact us

If you email us or write to us through the support page, we get your name, email address and whatever you choose to include. We use it only to answer you, and we delete it once your question is resolved, unless we have to keep it for legal reasons.

Your choices and rights

Because the app keeps your data on your device, you control it directly and can clear it at any time. Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR, UK GDPR or CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or object to the processing of your personal information. Children

Befino Plates is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country), and we don't knowingly collect their personal information.

Security

Order data is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS). Data on your device is protected by your phone's own security features, so we recommend using a screen lock.

Changes to this policy

If the way the app handles information changes, we'll update this page and the effective date. For significant changes we'll also give notice in the app. Questions: ella.barrett75@gmail.com .
