Both of the kids have enjoyed listening to the amazing short stories within the covers of this book. They both now have favorites they love to hear over and over again. "The 2 Sisters" is my daughters favorite and "Rosy's Journey" is my sons favorite.. We all loved coming together to read and to listen.. So much fun! Highly recommend! ...more

Great variety of stories, time suggestions provided so you know how long a story can be expected to last and interesting for kids and parents.
Me gustó mucho la edición, la portada y las ilustraciones. En ese sentido el libro es padrísimo. También tiene una clasificación de los cuentos y un tiempo aproximado de lectura (lo cual ayuda mucho al leerle a los pequeños, porque permite elegir el cuento adecuado a la hora de dormir). En general los cuentos son buenos, aunque sólo un par de ellos me encantaron de verdad. I read this to my mum who is sick and when she's upset and just can't sleep I lie down and read these stories to her, she loves it and having different lengths of stories means sometimes I can read a long one and it'll help calm her enough to sleep ...more
I brought this book about 2 weeks ago and have started reding it to my 4 year old to get him to start using his imagination. We have now started reading a story before bed instead of allowing him to have a DVD on. So far so good!!

A really cool collection of stories from around the world which are great simply because they make the listener use their imagination. It's similar to the stories I read in the "good ol days" rather than just disney fluff. (Although I love disney who doesn't?) ...more

Great collection of stories though I must say the english is quite of the "olde" variety at times that clashes with what you expect to read, as if there's been no editing since the Grimm brothers compilation! My kids love the stories so far.
This book was great..stories short and humorous
This book is a pretty good choice for a child who is read to on a regular basis. The stories are short enough to read to a child as "bedtime" stories, but very original, although somewhat old-fashioned. My six-year-old daughter finds the stories very entertaining .

Unfortunately poorly written, not sure if it is because is translated from other languages but even still the stories are rather poor also.

My grand-son Jason was sick recently and enjoyed hearing some of these stories during the day. As they were on my Kindle I was able to turn on the story telling feature and not get tired reading to him myself. All the stories were new to him and different.
