Guess what this is..... If you answered: a whole bunch of melted video tapes, you're right!
But of course, there's more to the story. Back in 1998, I had a fire at my house in Los Angeles. No one was hurt but hundreds of video tapes of raw camera footage were in the room where the fire started and ended up like this. Over the next nine months, we painstaking salvaged all of the best footage of models that had been shot but had not yet put into completed shows as of the time of the fire. Within a few years, all of that first salvaged footage had been used in Soft Bodies or other FantasyOne shows and we just went on to shoot new models and release new material.
The only footage which we did not attempt to salvage at that time (98-2000) was video of me. The reason was because my distributors thought it was more important to feature other models in my programs so we just left this stuff sit in boxes and pretty much forgot about it.
With the launch of this new website, we began a search of all of the archives and storage and these 3/4" tapes cassettes turned up. That's right! These 35 or so video tapes contain raw footage of ME which has never been edited much less seen by anyone or released. I am pleased to announce that over the coming months, we will be salvaging this footage, up-converting to HD, editing and releasing it as it becomes available. YAY!
As you might imagine, I am very excited to begin this work and can't wait to begin releasing here! Also -- and this is top-secret -- I am shooting some new photos this weekend which will keep me busy for a bit! Bye for now...
