The vagina is an elastic, muscular canal with a soft, flexible lining that provides lubrication and sensation. The vagina connects the uterus to the outside world. The vulva and labia form the entrance, and the cervix of the uterus protrudes into the vagina, forming the interior end.
The vagina receives the penis during sexual intercourse and also serves as a conduit for menstrual flow from the uterus. During childbirth , the baby passes through the vagina (birth canal).
The hymen is a thin membrane of tissue that surrounds and narrows the vaginal opening. It may be torn or ruptured by sexual activity or by exercise.

Now that we know what women think makes a penis attractive it’s only right we find out what makes a vagina attractive, or what makes it the world’s most beautiful vagina. The contest for the World’s Most Beautiful Vagina has crowned the world’s most beautiful vaginas, with the help of scientists, 130,000 voters, and 110 vaginas.
The contest, sponsored by Brian Sloan manufacturer of Autoblow 2 (an automatic blow job device) awarded winners money and a chance to live in vagina infamy by getting flown to Los Angeles to have their vulvas 3D-scanned for a future Autoblow device. 
Sloan enlisted scientists to analyze the contest in a scientific manner and then compiled their findings in The Vulva Paper. The Vulva Paper's website explains, “[scientists] used the contest data to assess the diversity in vulval morphology and voters’ preference for different morphologies.” Meaning the 110 (photo) entries examined—64 entries being from the U.S.—were each measured for, among other things:
The entries were then classified into six categories of “vulval morphology,” which if you’re into, you can read more about it (and the study) here . 
Scientists then sent random entries to individual voters who were asked to rate each vulva pictures from 1 (being the lowest) to 10 (being the highest).
The world’s most beautiful vagina belongs to U.K. resident Nell, 27, who won $5,000, with a vulva beauty ranking of 7.7. Jenny, 23, of Bavaria, Germany, was runner-up, winning $2,500 with a 7.3 vulva beauty ranking. Rounding out the top three was Anita, 20, from Hungary, who won $1,250.

For as long as I can remember, there's been controversy and even shame surrounding all that beauty pageants stand for. But clearly not enough to stop the chauvinistic pig who created a vagina beauty pageant.
The pageant was originally created as what some outlets say was a PR stunt by Brian Sloan, the sex toy maker who invented the Autoblow 2.
Although the event seems to be clearly tongue-in-cheek, I'm not sure that makes the concept any easier to wrap my head around. As if the entire thing isn't strange enough, it's been held in Oregon — the last location I suspected would hold such a modern? ... event.
But, generalizations aside, knowing this was happening made me more curious than ever as to what makes a vagina "pageant ready" — or rather, consider "pretty" or "beautiful" enough to enter into a "vageant."
According to Mic , critics of various vagina pageants in previous years have pointed out that they are part of "a long tradition of propagating unrealistic beauty standards for women."
One vagina beauty pageant's guidelines noted that a "class one" vagina could best be described as soft and not protruding, while vaginas in classes three to five "display protruding labia minor."
Of course, this contest was run by men and for men, catered entirely to the male species. And, if beauty is really in the eye of the beholder, then women everywhere are doomed to the crazy high standards that men have for the vaginas they hold.
And while we cannot state emphatically enough that all vaginas are beautiful, we know there are vulva owners out there who do wonder what makes a vagina pretty to those that don't have them, so we decided to ask and find out what they think.
1. "Looks moist like a well-baked cake — not dry like an overcooked steak." — Shawn M.
2. "Clean, shaved, proportional lips to clitoris." — Phil G.
3. "I guess as long as it doesn't look like an Arby's sandwich ... it's fine." — Chris B.

6. "It seems like it would be difficult to describe the ideal vagina, but lips that don't sag is definitely a must." — Damien B.
My guess as to what all of this really means?
There is a man out there (and probably many, many men, if we're being honest) who finds your vagina beauty pageant-worthy and would be more than willing to put it on a pedestal.

Gamer girl who 'flashed her vagina' during live broadcast has a history of on-camera 'accidents'
She's been banned from Twitch after a recent incident which shocked her legion of fans - but this isn't the first time her video game streams got a little x-rated
She's the video gaming sensation who has found herself in an x-rated storm after 'flashing her vagina' during a live broadcast.
But now she's facing questions about her previous antics too.
Lea May typically streams videos of her playing video games on live streaming site Twitch .
But yesterday, while playing Dark Souls as thousands of fans watched her online, she lifted her leg and - some claim - exposed herself.
The online star, from San Diego, California, denies this, and later took to Twitter to add: "For the record Thighs [do not] equal vag."
This has not stopped Twitch from banning her account for 30 days however.
Twitch told viewers: "The community has closed this channel due to terms of service violations."
However it is not the first time the gaming star has found herself in hot water.
Disillusioned fans got in touch with the Mirror Online, and highlighted several previous incidents where the star has appeared to have exposed herself while on camera.
Fans have even taken to social media to accuse her of seeking attention by carrying out the wild on-camera antics.
One wrote: "I understand it's a business and all, so the flirty and flashy stuff is whatever, but Lea has gone too far."
But many have also rallied around the star to support her.
In explaining the latest incident, she told fans on Twitter: "Sorry I had to stand in an awkward way due to my ankle injury.
