Be careful with URLs

Be careful with URLs

Robert Wallis

This tweet by Ford Poland contains a shortened link, which should go to the Ford Puma design video which has Polish translations and is hosted on the Ford Europe YouTube channel.

But the URL is not correct and fails.

It's a simple error, the video ID used was u9XA96-Nisc which doesn't exist, instead of u9XA96-NIsc which does.

Simple mistakes like these are easy to make, which is why I would recommend that URLs should always be copied, and pasted.

People generally feel that they understand URLs but can be lazy about removing variables which are either not needed or worse provide data errors.

URLs which work for the user are very handy.

You can do a lot with variables, they aren't just for tracking.

Anyway before I drift off topic, remember to be careful with URLs. It's what the web is built on!
