Be On The Lookout For: How Toto Asia Is Taking Over And What We Can Do About It
The Band Toto Asia
Toto was expanding its production facilities in the overseas market and was doing business in France, Germany, Indonesia, Korea, Taiwan, Thailand and the People's Republic of China. The company considered North America as a growth market for Washlet bidet seats and toilets, in contrast to its "base" markets of Japan and China.
Dhaniram Toto recorded Toto words to ensure that the future generation could read them. Many words were replaced with foreign ones. For instance, dui, which is Bengali for verandah, was being used.
Origins
Incorporated in 1917, Toto's early years were a mirror of Japan's economic growth. In the early years of its existence, the company manufactured goods to meet demand for modern, contemporary urban housing. It was the first tunnel kilns in the country that could produce ceramics continuously. It also pioneered the use of automation to control production, allowing for more efficiency and consistency.
In the latter half of the 1980s, the company began expanding overseas to benefit from sales and new markets. It created the Cera Trading Company, importing and marketing other products of manufacturers to complement its own range of plumbing fittings and sanitary earthenware. This strategy boosted sales and increased the firm's market share.
In the 90s, Toto began focusing on research and development of water-related appliances. It also improved its distribution system to better serve customers and increase profit. The company also employed the approach of just-in-time in its supply chain management as well as sales program. This resulted in a greater level of customer satisfaction.
Toto continues to invent toilet technology. The latest toilet, for example it has a powerful tornado flush that is more eco friendly than traditional toilets. The company makes use of recycled water in its manufacturing process, and has a green purchasing policy. In addition to toilets Toto produces bathtubs and faucets, as well as hand dryers that are more energy efficient than typical models.
The first museum of the company opened in the year 2015, and it has exhibitions on Toto's seminal products and their development, its group companies (all having to do with ceramics) and the history of plumbing and products such as bath units and, in a different gallery, Toto products sold around the world. The museum has the bathroom equipped with a WASHLET and other toilet innovations.
Before the formation of Toto, members of the group performed sessions for many musicians. Boz Scaggs album Silk Degrees featured keyboardist David Paich as well as guitarists Mike Porcaro & Steve Lukather and drummers Jeff Porcaro & Steve Lukather. They also performed on albums by Steely Dan, Seals and Crofts, and Sonny and Cher.
Discography
With a name like Asia you'd think that the group would be prog kings and queens but they're actually a fairly straightforward rock group. The group began as a group and released two albums - 1979's self-titled debut album, and 1980's Armed to the Teeth. The group has a wide musical background, but their biggest success was in 1982 with Toto IV.
The album was a huge blockbuster, but not without its share of problems. Record companies put the band on position with the order "give us an album that is a success or we'll sack you" and the pressure was on to give it. Toto was able to achieve this with the help from the hit song "Africa."
Toto's musical mastery owes a lot to their prior experience since the members were session musicians for artists like Boz Scaggs, Steely Dan, and Seals and Crofts prior the group. Their sonic signature has since become the standard for pop music from the 1980s, and has influenced many modern artists.
The album starts out hard with songs such as Running Out of Time or Unknown Soldier that show the band's ability to write great AOR tunes that slowly get into your head. But the album also contains some slower, more jazzy tracks, like The Little Things and Chinatown. And the album ends with Great Expectations, a song that combines folk with distorted AOR and sounds like a complete flop, but works wonderfully well.
After Toto IV The band's fortunes turned towards the negative. David Hungate left to concentrate on his solo career, and the band had to go through various drummers. In 1984, Bobby Kimball was fired from the group in the after he was charged with drug abuse. the band continued as a trio with Michael Porcaro and Steve Lukather.
Toto released Isolation despite the turbulence. It was not as well-liked as IV. The band managed to release an album that topped the charts, Kingdom of Desire, in 1992. This album marked Toto's final lineup and the debut of Simon Phillips, a new vocalist.

Line-up
Turn Back, the band's third studio album, was a return to a classic sextet format, and it was a more consistent, more powerful effort with a harder edge. The more experimental sound of Turn Back was a reflection of the maturation in the group. Drummer Bobby Kimball's increased virtuosity was reflected by the vocals of Joseph Williams, who had grown more confident and mature. Keyboardist David Paich's work was more precise, sharper and less cloying than earlier recordings.
After touring to promote the album, the group recorded a live performance in Amsterdam that was released as a two-CD set called Falling In Between Live on Eagle Records. The group released a new studio album a few months later, and went on a world tour to promote it. During this time, keyboardist Greg Phillinganes filled in for Paich and bassist David Hungate left the group to spend more time with his family.
In 1998, Paich and Lukather started looking through old demo tapes and tapes to make a new album featuring songs that had never been recorded before. It was released in the form of a double-album called Then and Now in 2001. It was the first album by the band without a single song titled "A". The album also included a previously unreleased track titled "Kari-Anne".
By 2003, Toto had begun to decline in popularity. The group's fourth album, Old Is New, was a commercial flop and singer Williams suffered from a bad case of laryngitis which limited his singing capabilities. 토지노 사이트 returned to Nashville and Leland Sklar's drumming duties were replaced by Shem Von Schroeck.
Downes and the other members of Asia--Wetton, Palmer, and Howe--convened an event in England in the beginning of 2006 to discuss the possibility of formally reforming the band. This lineup, minus Howe who was occupied with Yes during that time, was renamed Toto XIV. They toured extensively.
In 2010, the band reunited for another reunion tour with a slightly different line-up, including guitarists Mike Porcaro and Steve Lukather, drummer John Pierce, bassist Shannon Forrest, and multi-instrumentalists Warren Ham and Dominique Taplin. The band also featured an appearance by singer Michael McDonald, and a backing singer named Mabvuto Carpenter.
