During the bus ride to her fiance's home, Gulizar is attacked and sexually assaulted. She doesn't tell anyone, and tries to bury her shame and trauma, but those feelings start to overshadow the wedding preparations. The atmosphere around the bride-to-be and her future husband becomes increasingly tense and their relationship goes into crisis.
Gulizar longs to experience what lies beyond the only world that she and the women around her have ever known. Betrothed to her beloved Emre, she is eager to leave everything behind and start a new life in Kosovo. Gülizar's fairy tale, however, tragically turns into a nightmare when she is sexually assaulted en route.
