I have an Asus Crosshair 7, can't find where to disable the spread spectrum... Any tip?

If the setting is not there, it's not there.
Try changing the BCLK setting from Auto to a manually set 100.0 MHz. The board might then in secret disable spread spectrum, even if it has no option for it. I'm suspecting this because on my ASRock board, the spread spectrum and the manual BCLK setting are on the same line in the BIOS screen. If I switch BCLK between Auto and Manual, then the spread spectrum setting disappears and is replaced with the input box for the BCLK speed.
Asus likes to not give us HPET or Spread Spectrum controls for whatever arbitary reason
I have the same board, youre never going to get 100.00 blck
@DAM20
Do as deepor said. When you set BCLK manually it will be static, like with Spread Spectrum disabled.

That sucks, even my old FX system had the possibility to disable spread spectrum :/ Anyway I tried and seems to work, bus is 100 now, but with same setting on a strix x470 won't go above 99.8...
Done what deepor suggested andseems to work, also I'm not using docp, everything is manual.
This is a joke tho, 300$ mobo and there's still hidden options...
Yep, it worked.
Hi,
Think that sort of thing is triggered by using xmp profiles
Often if you enable xmp profiles you'd also get a popup asking if you also want to enable other enhanced oc features.
Another one is auto or easy oc bios features will likely enable stuff like this too.
Optimus Foundation beats EK Magnitude Acetal 2066 socket
Modified Optimus SigV2 beats Modified EK Magnitude Full Nickle 2066 socket

It should be in bios - tweakers paradise, first option.
..really?, where did you test it?, cause when i check with cpu-z for example it says 99.98

I thought so, but unfortunately is not there, on my fx platform was inside the cpu settings, barely have something there right now...
HWiNFO64, cpu z shows fluctuations tho, from 99.95 to 100.12. So I guess spread spectrum is still actually on. RIP
The only thing I have in auto is the cpu ratio :/

Hi,
Bus speed says 100.00 so it would seem cpu spread.. is disabled already
Usually it would show an odd number 1??.?? there if it was enabled.

Got an Asus Prime X470 Pro and its BCLK is at 100. All i did was set the CPU Core Ratio to Manual. It works on Gen 1+ not sure about Gen 1. I know it does not work on Gen 2.

I guess it's a big F for disabling spread spectrum on x470

EE here
There's really no point in disabling spread spectrum, if you are unstable with it on, you are gonna continue being unable with it also off...
Reason why hwinfo64 is showing 99.8 is because it can't read varying BCLK frequency, the only thing your doing by turning it off is making your PC spew out more EMI/RFI, and make you fail FCC certification, EMi/RFI shielding in today's pc cases already aren't particularly good at preventing it compared to older all metal ones which actually had electrical continuity, and where fully grounded.
