Ashley Graham or Ash for short to say the least is a breathtaking beauty who has taken the world by storm, not only with her exotic beauty but her girl next door personality and charm, but before we get into her present day activities, let’s take at look Ashley’s life.
Ashley was raised in Lincoln, Nebraska. She has two beautiful sisters. Her mother Linda Graham always encouraged Ashley to live out her dreams and be everything that she could be.
Ashley is one of those models that was not necessarily striving to be a model at the time of her discovery, as a matter of fact, she was discovered by an international modelling agency at the age of 12 while strolling through a shopping mall. When the agency realised what they had, she was signed on after only a year. Her amazing attitude and great personality paired with her curvaceous figure and breathtaking appearance was too much to be true.
Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue fell in love with Ashley making her the first plus size model to make the cover and be featured in the famous Swimsuit issue. With over 8 million views, Ash appeared in one of the TV commercials for Luke Bryant. She has also graced the stage on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.
Here is one for you, Ashley Graham was the first plus sized model to be hired by Jenifer Lopez for her clothing line.
As her career progressed Ashley has made appearances in some of the most prestigious magazines in the world including Glamour, Burst, Vogue, Bazaar, Elle and Harpers just to name a few.
Publishing her book that is an inspiring body positive masterpiece titled “A New Model: What Confidence, Beauty and Power really look like: is just the beginning of her author career as she plans to write more books in the coming years.
Ashley has worked with so many brands and on so many advertisements to date that it would be impossible to list them all but we thought it would be important to name a few.
Off to a great start to Ashley’s day, she kicks off her morning with a glass of hot water and lemon. Her diet strategy is to start eating light and add substance as her day progresses. This means fruit in the morning. Fruit offers a wide range of vitamins and minerals, energy and is easy to digest.
Just before lunch she typically will drink a green juice smoothie incorporating kale, lemon, apple, ginger, spinach and beetroot. This drink is loaded with all her essential vitamins and minerals and an excellent detoxifier. In addition it fills her up to reduce her appetite.
Heading into lunch, salad is the name of the game with quinoa, carrots, tomatoes, avocado, any green leafy vegetable and pesto sauce as the dressing. If she requires a mid afternoon energy boost, she will treat herself to four squares of 80% chocolate.
On the top of Ashley’s list of favorites for dinner, chicken with Brussel sprouts, or sweet potato with olive oil-sautéed vegetables. Oh and yes a glass of red wine to help the digestive system.
Her diet regime appears structured to say the least, but Ashley also believes you need to spoil yourself to. So to round out her life style, she does have cheat days that likely will include one of the following, pizza crust dipped in Nutella, mashed potatoes or macaroni and cheese, but keep these treats to yourself.
Ashley promotes fitness to be about being healthy and feeling good and not about a women’s dress size.
In 2017 Ashley went head to head with Trolls on Instragram. These shaming individuals attempted to shame her physique. Really….REALLY..This stunning women who makes millions of dollars as a plus size model has body shaming trolls. We just don’t get it. They must be jelious of her success and her overwhelming, breathtaking beauty…Shame on them. Anyway, Ashley replied with the following:
“Just for the record I work out to stay healthy, feel good, get rid of jet lag, clear my head, show big girls we can move like the rest of ’em, stay flexible and strong, gave more energy,” she wrote. “I don’t work out to lose [sic] weight or my curves, I love the skin I’m in.”
Ashley G. believes that mixing things up at the gym is important. Cross training is key and keeps things exciting. Kick boxing is her go to sport to keep her focused.
She tries to get to the gym a minimum of five days a week.
Her workout includes an extreme combination that is not for the faint of heart. Her full body routine incorporates a blended approach with mainstream movements including lunges, burpees, squats and side lunges, then moves into a more intensive routine using medicine balls, hammers, and a large tire.
Always ready to try new physical challenges, Ashley also incorporates aerial work, skipping rope and rollerblading to create a well rounded routine.
Ashley also has a separate abdominal workout that focuses on her sexy mid section. She has this broken down into two sections doing each section three times. Ref: Ashley’s Video below “Meet Your Abs”
We have been told since we are children that models for example the Angels from Victoria’s Secret really do not have attainable bodies for 95% of women. So we are told that we need to love ourselves, yet these models are truly always in the back of most women’s minds. But are they really that beautiful?
We are suppose to understand that the clothing they wear will not in fact look like that on the rest of us, plus keep in mind each garment is customized for each particular model that is wearing it.
Really its not even fair to be honest to use these models wearing clothing that will never appear the way they do on the catwalks as they are called. Keep in mind also that these role playing fashion models not only have their faces done up with makeup but their bodies to.
Ashley has spent her lifetime preaching and demonstrating that full figured women are just as beautiful and depending on your personal taste, even more beautiful.
So with that said, Ashley posted the above photo of herself on a runway wearing wings with a caption that said… “Got my wings!”
Well we sat in our boardroom and asked our team to throw words on the table that described Ashley. We have already used some of these words but thought we would share the list with you. This list is in the exact order as it was created with no editing.

Only recently have brands and designers begun casting plus-size models. But this community was thriving long before "inclusivity" entered the collective vocabulary. Many of us remember wanting America's Next Top Model hopeful Toccara Jones to win as the first black plus-sized supermodel -- but what we perhaps don't know are the plus-size pioneers like Allegra Doherty, Amy Lemons and Emme, who paved the road before her.
Ashley Graham, of course, is the most well-known woman of this group. For the past several years, Graham has been everywhere, becoming the de-facto face of the body-positive movement. Just this year, Graham made her debut in Vogue Italia in a series of unretouched photos and broke barriers as the first plus model to appear in Sports Illustrated . She's now walking in high fashion shows alongside Kendall Jenner and Kaia Gerber, and is the (well-paid) face of brands like Lane Bryant, Revlon, Marina Rinaldi, and Swimsuits For All. The 30-year-old is vocal both about her own journey to self-acceptance as well as why the fashion industry must serve plus women. In 2017, American Vogue gave Graham a cover, declaring " no norm is the new norm. " While Graham is indeed a heroine and the face of a movement, many great, brave women preceded her.
Ahead, we recount models who made the plus-size movement as we know it possible.
Many consider Emme, born Melissa Owens Miller, to be the first mainstream plus-size model to achieve mainstream commercial success. She was the first plus spokesperson contracted by Revlon in 1998.
Though Lemons started out as a straight-sized model, she transitioned to a curve model after college and began to speak out about the industry's "zero-size standard."
Morton transitioned into a plus-sized in 1997, and was the first model to be inducted into the International Model Hall of Fame in 1999.
Aerosmith rocker Steven Tyler's daughter (and actress-model Liv's younger half-sister) decided to try her hand at modelling when she was 19 after being scouted by a talent agent for Lane Bryant. She went on to walk in the company's New York Fashion Week show in 1998.
In 2012, Doherty posed nude on the cover of Italian GQ, becoming one of the youngest plus models to do so.
We've said it before: Graham has made the plus-size industry incredibly visible, appearing in Vogue and Sports Illustrated's Swimsuit Issue.
Munster has built a body-positive community on Instagram, using #effyourbeautystandards to start a movement. In 2015, the 5'5, size 22 model signed with Milk Model Management.

You may not think that a nude model is the best way to celebrate a clothing collaboration, but Ashley Graham is here to prove that's exactly the way to build buzz!
In a sexy new campaign for Lane Bryant, Ashley strips down to pose alongside fashion designer Prabal Gurung, who created a new capsule collection for the plus-size retailer. The image, which sent the Internet into an Ashley-induced frenzy this morning, showcases a naked Ashley, ready to be dressed by the genius behind her.
“I was nude for that first photo as a reminder that this is for you, the curvy everyday woman, and also to shock the system," Ashley told Extra during a stop on the duo's press tour.
"This is what we need," Ashley continued. "We need designers like Prabal that are taking the risk of putting girls that look like me and even bigger in the campaign. This is a celebration of a high-end designer coming with a fast fashion company and making magic together."
