Previously Batman and the Ninja Turtles appeared together in three comic book crossovers that were published jointly by both DC Comics and IDW Publishing (the Ninja Turtles' comic book publisher as of release); the first one published by DC serves as the source material for the film. They also appeared together in the video game Injustice 2 (2017) .
Ra's al Ghul's first name is inconsistently pronounced in this movie. Sometimes it's pronounced "raish," (as it was pronounced in "Batman: The Animated Series") and other times it's "raz" (as in "Batman Begins").
After the credits roll, we see Shredder emerge from the ruins of Ace Chemicals. He now resembles the Joker and laughs maniacally.
I grew up on the original TNMT and 90's Batman animation. I loved them both and to see both team up was such a trip down memory lane. If you're a fan of both you'll love this. There are some missed opportunities and jokes that didn't land (hence the rating) but as a whole, it was a great film to watch. I loved it.

Batman : This is not the time for pizza.
Michelangelo : I totally don't understand that sentence.

Quick question: is Batman vs Ninja Turtles going to have a sequel? Has there been any official word from Nickelodeon and Warner Bros. about the sequel? Or do you at least think there will be a sequel and why?
No idea, nothing has been said about it.
You'd think they would do it since the first was well received and many want it. Plus it seems to end with a cliffhanger, though that is never a promise ( cough looking at you Half Shell Heroes movie).
Hope is all we have still, unfortunately. But , we also didn't even know about the first one until only four months before the DVD/Blu-ray release, so they had surely kept it secret for quite a while.
I'd say give it another year. It was rumored in 2016 that Warner Bros was developing a Batman/TMNT crossover movie and in 2019 we got Batman vs TMNT. The movie was well received and they left a gap open for a sequel so I dont see why they wouldn't do another. I'd say it's on their to do list but they have other movies in the making first.
It’s been 3 years but we also had a global pandemic, hopefully we still get a sequel 😭
You’d think there was going to be a sequel, given the post credits scene.
Possibly. Only the deal between Nick and DC wasn't too easy to handle.
I can’t find actual sales numbers, but unlike other DC animated movies they probably either shared profits or had to pay a fee to Nick. So even if it sold as well as other DC titles it might not have been as profitable. But it was well received, so I think everyone wants a sequel. The last one was announced in February of 2019 and then released in May of 2019. So it could be in production and we may just not know. So we could always get another surprise like that again. But as others have said nothing has been announced.
I feel like they will, and like the second comic they could make it a Donnie story
i think there might be a sequel, if warner bros and nick can make it go through again
