I was surprised with how much I liked this. This movie has a lot of “cheesy” parts, but it’s teenage mutant ninja turtles so you have to expect that. Way better than I thought and great to watch with the kiddos.

Really liked this movie! It has a violence rating closer to the old comics without being outright gory. (It's more of a realistic take, like someone's nose bleeding when you hit it.) I felt like they blended both worlds really well, and the comedy always hit me just right. Would recommend if you're a fan of either or both fandoms!

Growing up I was a batman and ninja turtle fan girl. After looking around amazon videos I found Batman vs. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and had to buy it. This movie is 5 stars because the story, visuals, voice actors and characters were all beautifully put together in this movie. The ninja turtles, batman, the sidekicks like robin and batgirls and the villains all stayed true to their personalities.

I’ll be honest. I thought this crossover was a dumb idea, but I watched it. It was very entertaining. I was laughing a lot during this film, especially at Mikey. I noticed that parents were among the reviewers. I think concerned parents should know the following: There is cartoon violence (killing, arm breaks, and a throat chop within the first 5 minutes) Mention of hallucinogens (Scarecrow’s poison/drugs) Not bloody, but definitely warrants the PG-13 rating No swearing The film has a brief moment of near male nudity at 01:10:00. Hopefully this will help you judge accordingly. You know whether your children are mature enough to watch this film.

Previously Batman and the Ninja Turtles appeared together in three comic book crossovers that were published jointly by both DC Comics and IDW Publishing (the Ninja Turtles' comic book publisher as of release); the first one published by DC serves as the source material for the film. They also appeared together in the video game Injustice 2 (2017) .
Ra's al Ghul's first name is inconsistently pronounced in this movie. Sometimes it's pronounced "raish," (as it was pronounced in "Batman: The Animated Series") and other times it's "raz" (as in "Batman Begins").
After the credits roll, we see Shredder emerge from the ruins of Ace Chemicals. He now resembles the Joker and laughs maniacally.
I grew up on the original TNMT and 90's Batman animation. I loved them both and to see both team up was such a trip down memory lane. If you're a fan of both you'll love this. There are some missed opportunities and jokes that didn't land (hence the rating) but as a whole, it was a great film to watch. I loved it.

Batman vs. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is a 2019 American animated superhero film , directed by Jake Castorena, written by Marly Halpern-Graser, and produced by Warner Bros. Animation , DC Entertainment , and Nickelodeon . The film is an adaptation of the six-issue intercompany crossover comic book miniseries Batman/Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles by James Tynion IV and Freddie Williams II . The story focuses on Batman , Robin and Batgirl teaming up with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles , in order to save Gotham City from chaos at the hands of both Shredder and Ra's al Ghul . The film features the voices of Troy Baker , Darren Criss , Eric Bauza , Cas Anvar and Andrew Kishino . [2]

Batman vs. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is the first collaboration between Warner Bros. and Nickelodeon (once co-owned by then-parent Warner Communications until 1985), and the first Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles film to be distributed by Warner Bros. in the United States since TMNT . It was produced for the direct-to-video market, and was released on both Blu-ray and Digital HD on June 4, 2019. It achieved positive reviews and grossed over $3.3 million from home video sales.

While touring Powers Industrial, Barbara Gordon witnesses a power generator being stolen by the Foot Clan and also spots four mysterious and elusive creatures during the robbery that she believes are metahumans. The Foot Clan attacks Wayne Enterprises to steal an experimental cloud seeder machine, but are ambushed by Batman , who fends off the Foot and their leader, Shredder . Meanwhile, the four "metahumans" Batgirl sighted—actually the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles —arrive in Gotham tracking the Shredder, who has allied with an unknown party. After defending Wayne Enterprises from the Penguin , the Turtles encounter and fight Batman, as each side believes the other is working with the Shredder. Batman is able to overpower the Turtles, who retreat.

Donatello researches Batman and his sighted locations, and uses this information to figure out the location of the Batcave . After a brief scuffle with Robin , Batman and Batgirl arrive, and the Turtles introduce themselves and explain their reason for coming to Gotham. The two groups agree to work together against their common enemies, and Robin reveals that Shredder and the Foot Clan are working with Ra's al Ghul and the League of Assassins . Shredder and Ra's meet and strike a bargain: Ra's will give Shredder access to the Lazarus Pit to become immortal, in exchange for Shredder building a machine that will spray a combination of TCRI mutagen and Joker venom over Gotham, transforming the citizens into insane mutants that will destroy the city. With Shredder's failure to steal the cloud seeder, Ra's hires the Penguin to intercept it, while he and Shredder go to Arkham Asylum and release the Joker . The two trade Joker TCRI mutagen for the Joker venom formula, and Joker uses the mutagen on Arkham's inmates.

The Bat-Family and the Turtles are alerted about an alarm at Arkham by Commissioner Gordon and investigate. After fighting their way through various members of Batman's rogues gallery , they confront Harley Quinn and Joker, mutated into a spotted hyena and a king cobra . Joker injects Batman with a mixture of Joker venom and mutagen, transforming him into a deranged mutant vampire bat . The heroes are able to inject Batman with an anti-mutagen and restore him, and subdue Harley and Joker. Batgirl learns about the cloud seeder's theft by Penguin, and they realize the incident at Arkham was a distraction. Aware that Shredder and Ra's will be using Joker venom, they deduce they will be at Ace Chemicals to create it.

At Ace Chemicals, the Bat-family and the Turtles fight through the Foot Clan and the League of Assassins with the Batmobile and the Turtle Van. While Batman fights Shredder and Leonardo engages Ra's, Donatello and Michelangelo sabotage the cloud seeder as it launches. Leonardo subdues Ra's, and Batman is able to defeat the Shredder with a distraction from Raphael . The cloud seeder crashes into the facility and explodes, knocking the Shredder into a vat of Joker venom and destroying Ace Chemicals. At the Batcave, the Turtles prepare to return to New York until Batman reveals a surprise pizza party to celebrate their victory.

In a post-credits scene, Shredder emerges from the rubble of Ace Chemicals, now possessing a Joker-like appearance and laughing maniacally.

Warner Bros. Animation was considering adaptations of Batman/Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Wonder Woman as possible direct-to-video films. [3] The animated adaptation of the miniseries was officially announced in February 2019 to be in production and was released later in the spring. [4]

The initial announcement revealed Troy Baker would reprise his roles as both Batman from Batman: The Telltale Series video game and various Lego video games and films, and the Joker from Batman: Arkham Origins , Batman: Assault on Arkham , and the Batman Unlimited series, making Baker the first actor to portray both characters in the same property. The film also features Darren Criss and Eric Bauza reprising their roles as Raphael and Leonardo , while Kyle Mooney and Baron Vaughn voice Michelangelo and Donatello , respectively. Rachel Bloom voices Batgirl and Cas Anvar voices Ra's al Ghul . In addition, Tom Kenny , John DiMaggio , Carlos Alazraqui and Tara Strong reprise their roles as the Penguin , Mr. Freeze , Bane , Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy from various DC properties. [5] Other key cast members of the film were revealed a month later, which consists of Ben Giroux as Robin , Andrew Kishino as the Shredder , Keith Ferguson as both Baxter Stockman and Two-Face , Brian George reprising his role as Alfred Pennyworth from Batman: The Killing Joke , and Jim Meskimen as both Commissioner James Gordon and the Scarecrow . [2]

The first trailer was released on March 12, 2019. [6] The film had its world premiere at WonderCon Anaheim 2019 on March 31. [7]

The film was later released to Digital on May 14 on 4K Ultra HD Combo Pack and Blu-ray Combo Pack on June 4, 2019. [8]

The film earned $609,769 from domestic DVD sales and $2,723,251 from domestic Blu-ray sales, bringing its total domestic home video earnings to $3,333,020. [9]

Batman vs. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles was released to positive reviews. Based on 13 reviews collected on Rotten Tomatoes , the film has an approval rating of 100% with an average rating of a 7.5/10. [10]

Batman/Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Adventures is a six-issue intercompany crossover comic book miniseries featuring fictional heroes Batman and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles . The miniseries is based on a previous intercompany crossover titled Batman/Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles between DC Comics and IDW Publishing , which was first announced during IDW's panel at the 2015 San Diego Comic-Con and released as a six-part monthly miniseries in late 2015 and early 2016. [1] [2] [3]

The success of Batman/Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles prompted the concept for a similar crossover story, [4] with Batman's DC Animated Universe incarnation encountering the Amazing Adventures comic version of the 2012 CGI series' Turtles. Author Matthew K. Manning ( Beware the Batman ) and artist Jon Sommariva ( Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Amazing Adventures ) were named as participants in the project. [4] The concept was first introduced at the San Diego Comic Con in late July 2016, [5] and was released in six issues starting November 9, 2016. [6]

When villains start to mysteriously escape Arkham, Batman seeks to track them down. What happens when he discovers that they have left Gotham completely...and entered the TMNT's New York City ? [7]

One day, several inmates of Arkham Asylum have mysteriously gone missing from their cells. Batman tracks down one of the escapees, Two-Face , to his new hideout. When Batman questions him about how he and the others could escape from the facility, Two-Face, who has gone nearly apathetic, murmurs that he has seen a "new world without [himself],... without Batman, without Gotham" and draws the picture of a triangle on a dusty TV screen. Sneaking into Two-Face's cell in Arkham, Batman detects a triangular imprint consisting of a strange, plasmatic substance on the wall and retrieves a sample.

In said other world, after another nighttime patrol in the streets of New York City where Michelangelo has had fun with a thief (thereby quoting Batman's line "I am vengeance, I am the night" from the animated episode "Nothing to Fear"), Donatello is alerted by a scanning program on his computer telling him that the Kraang have activated another dimensional portal in the sewers. The Turtles and April follow the energy reading to its source and discover an active portal, just before they are ambushed by Clayface . When Michelangelo gives him the insulting nickname "Mudbutt", Clayface concentrates his attacks on the young Turtle, inadvertently moving back in front of the portal in the process. By opening a water outlet pipe, Donatello flushes Clayface back into the portal, which promptly vanishes.

Meanwhile, in the Batcave , Batman tries to trace back the origin of the residue he found in Dent's cell by adjusting his detectors for the energy frequency which generated the substance. When his computer detects another activation of that energy, Batman races off, ordering Alfred to call Robin for reinforcement. In New York City's Chinatown , two Foot-Bots stumble upon a large group of their fellows smashed to pieces by two new arrivals, who wish to see their boss: the Joker and his sidekick Harley Quinn . [8] After meeting with the Joker and Harley in a Lower East Side warehouse and hearing the story of their arrival, the Shredder is not at all impressed by the two newcomers. [9] When the Joker finds that the Shredder is not one to negiotate about surrendering the rule of the entire city to him, he incapacitates his opposite number with a dose of his laughing gas and takes control of the Foot Clan. [10]

In the meantime, in Gotham City , Robin and Batgirl rendezvous with Batman to investigate the newly detected dimensional portal, while the Turtles and April do the very same on their side in New York's Central Park . As Michelangelo , incautious as ever, puts his hand through in order to feel what might be on the other side, he inadvertently ends up groping Batman's face, and the Dark Knight retaliates with a blow to Michelangelo's nose. This provokes a hostile reaction from Raphael when Batman's team steps through the portal, inciting immediate mutual hostilities; but the battle quickly grinds to a halt when a nearby jogger is attacked by Snakeweed . As the two teams prepare to engage the monstrous plant mutant, they encounter Poison Ivy , who has Snakeweed under her mental control. [9] While the rest of the united teams keep Snakeweed busy, Robin and Raphael pursue and capture Ivy, who is subsequently dumped through the Kraang portal back into her native dimension, while Snakeweed faints once Ivy's control over him is gone.
