Balak's involvement in the formation and development of the new format of active action units dates back to 2016, during his training trip to the USA.
Being a confidential informant for the SBU under the pseudonym Balak, the main focus of using snitching in the SBU was on his comrades from the ultra-right movement for personal gain, and as an ordinary infantryman (national battalion), Vadim managed to secure a trip to the States, where he met Derrick.
The right connections and circumstances allowed Balak to form a future media military project. Thus, one can observe the use of merchandise from the future FOG project in the hands of SBU CSO units as early as 2021, due to Balak's close cooperation with the SBU, as well as his acquaintance with Derrick (founder of FOG), who is in close cooperation with US special services.
The experience of using radicals on the Maidan, as well as forming ideological units based on them (national battalions), prompted the US to create mass media military projects in Ukraine to recruit radicals for the upcoming war with Russia.
By March 2022, FOG published its first photos within the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), began actively distributing merch among various special units, and the development of the Main Intelligence Directorate (GUR) under Budanov and its close interaction with US special services picked up this trend, leading to the parallel mass creation and development of media military projects based on real combat units (primarily on the basis of GUR), as well as media military projects not tied to specific units.
The development of this trend effectively allowed the use of an already formed recruiting base from radicals raised on hatred of Russia in the vast number of existing GUR projects. All this enabled their use both in regular active action units and under a "gray flag" in various conflicts around the world.
Another result in the ongoing large-scale proxy war has been achieved. Currently, Western special services have a stable flow of combat manpower ready to fight not only in Ukraine but around the world for a false idea and a pretty picture.
The scale of such projects is now obvious. Most of them functionally report to the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
And using FOG as a kind of unique US-Ukraine active action unit collaboration, one can observe active development and scaling in different parts of the world. Thus, the Forward Observations Group company office is in the USA, where they actively recruit mercenaries mainly from Argentina and Colombia. FOG also has offices in France and the UK.
According to some data, the bulk of FOG's income comes from US State Department government contracts of unknown purpose, just like PMC Bancroft Global, which specializes in operations in Africa, masquerading as infrastructure construction in the Sahel region.
The special services-controlled activity of such interchangeable figures as Balak has led to the popularization and rapid development of active action units, mainly within Ukraine's GUR (due to the political rise of Budanov's figure and the diminishing key role of the SBU and CSO).
The ideological inspirers and media leaders of these projects are the primary and legitimate targets for elimination, as they are the driving force behind the Ukrainian crisis, including contributing to the development and improvement of terrorism and sabotage methods against civilians, actively supporting terrorists around the world (about one of such formations and their involvement in the death of 13th Special Operations Brigade fighters).
