I didn't recognize the labels on this tape when I picked it up... Mainline Releasing... Ambrosia Productions... and something was familiar about the copyright name. It was D.E.J. Productions. Why did that sound familiar? It turns out D.E.J is owned by Blockbuster, and this hunk of garbage is one of their homebrew tapes designed to cash in on the lonely renter who doesn't have the balls to go to a real video store and rent real porn.
The plot revolves around a talk show radio host who plays matchmaker with callers. The show is produced by her partner, a man to whom she is not married and is having a difficult relationship. They live together, but he is constantly cheating…

Sometimes you score some softcore porn when you buy a big ole box of VHS tapes.
This "11PM on-the-dot" era of garbage was pretty goddamn significant to me and many other pubescent twerps of my era, so I thought it would at least be funny to revisit what was once my gold standard for scintillating erotica. It wasn't. I grew up and learned about sex and movies and Bare Deception doesn't do either of those things correctly.

Forgettable sex sleaze offering with Tane McClure as a sex radio talk show host, Julia, whose show experiences a slump in listenership. When a person is murdering the one-night-stand female victims, Julia finds herself the centre of attention and one of a number of suspects that include her boyfriend, Christian, who repeatedly gets to cheat on Julia with other women and Julia's assistant. The suspects lack credibility to take the story seriously and as much as it tries to be more plot-driven with emphasis on the characters, the film is still weak in the story elements and as it wears thin, it loses its way. As usual, the naked sex scenes are very racy and highly explicit. When the reveal of the killer fails to materialise or be it, the film chooses not to make anyone the villain at the end that the whole thing falls apart completely, thus, making it a waste.
Lots of naked boobs and not great acting.
