🟣 As of September 1, 2026, total banking sector assets stood at UZS 1,025.8 trillion, up from UZS 863.1 trillion a year earlier, representing 19% annual growth.

📊 Deposits recorded the strongest growth in the banking sector. They rose by 34% year on year, from UZS 363.7 trillion to UZS 487.6 trillion. Over the same period, outstanding loans increased by 12% to UZS 648.9 trillion. Deposit growth outpacing lending indicates an expansion of the sector’s funding base.

📊 The share of assets, loans and deposits denominated in the national currency is increasing. The foreign currency share of assets fell from 39% to 34% year on year, while the corresponding shares of loans and deposits declined from 40% to 38% and from 23% to 19%, respectively. These changes reflect a downward trend in dollarization across the banking sector.

📊 Total banking sector capital continued to grow, reaching UZS 151.5 trillion, up 18% from UZS 128.8 trillion a year earlier.

Overall, rising assets and capital, strong deposit growth and an increasing share of funds denominated in the national currency reflect structural changes in the banking sector’s financial resource base.
