Bahamas Public Weather Forecast

Thursday, Feb 13, 2025 | 06:00 PM

BAHAMAS PUBLIC FORECAST FOR TONIGHT, TOMORROW AND THE NEXT SIX (6)
DAYS, ISSUED BY THE BAHAMAS DEPARTMENT OF METEOROLOGY AT 6:00 P.M.
EST, Thursday, February 13, 2025. THE NEXT SCHEDULED FORECAST WILL BE
ISSUED AT 6:00 A.M. EST TOMORROW.

WARNING IN EFFECT: A near gale warning is in effect for the waters of
the Southeast Bahamas. Small craft operators are urged to remain in
port in these areas. There are currently no public warnings in effect
at this time.

GENERAL SITUATION: Seasonably warm, dry and stable weather conditions
will persist overnight and into early Friday, as a prominent
sub-tropical high remains anchored across the islands. A surface
front currently over northern Florida will gently sag southwards
throughout the forecast period. This will introduce increased cloud
coverage and slightly humid conditions across the extreme ends of the
country, as this feature stalls just north of the area by Friday
evening.

SPECIAL WEATHER NOTES: Beachgoers are urged to not enter the waters
of the Central and Southeast Bahamas, and should exercise caution
across the remainder of the islands, particularly the Atlantic
shorelines, due to the increased risk of rip currents and possible
rough surf.
