LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - Over two dozen men were arrested Monday on Dixie Highway in one of the largest prostitution stings in recent years.
"They'd be stacked up like they were pulling into a McDonald's drive through, three or four deep, just pulled over the side of the road waiting," Sgt. Joey Davis with Louisville Metro police said.
What the drivers didn't know is that the woman they waited for was a cop.
"We dirtied her up. We told her, you know, you gotta, you can't be, this is not Pretty Woman," Davis said.
In all, Sgt. Davis and his 2nd division crew arrested just under 30 men for solicitation in just a few hours.
"It was surreal to watch because it was almost like a race track."
Some of the men were married, professionals in really nice cars. Others had been busted before. [endif]

"The guys going to work, the guys coming from work, the guys on lunch break," he said.
It happens fast: behind buildings, in alleys and in plain sight.
"It's bad enough when you walk up on it, it scares you yourself, you're like 'Oh, God!' said Davis. "But as a kid, for a little kid, they don't need to see that stuff going on."
The sting comes after Davis noticed a spike in the number of prostitutes along Dixie from Broadway to Hill Street. Business owners nearby are thankful.
"I see the prostitutes out here all the time, see them flag cars down, see them peeing on the side of the street," said one business owner. "It's very, very disturbing."
Some of the women get paid in heroin further spreading disease. Unknowing wives may become victims.
"Was it worth it? They didn't ask for that. And you don't know, you might be signing your own death warrant."
During the sting an undercover officer was mugged for money. Officers had their eyes on him from a distance when they noticed the man rush up on the officer, get in her face and take some money. When the man became more confrontational, Sgt. Davis and his crew decided to step in.
