For some great photos from all over the world stop by Watery Wednesday blog spot. For some quality time together Linda and I went on our daily walk to Rising Park. As a “kid” I spent hours and hours at this park ; fishing,sailing homemade boats,and ice skating in the winter. While Linda and I were on the walk we found our second Geocache about 1/2 mile from the park. More about that in the next post. Но прежде вспомним, что представляет собой сверловка Ланкастера и чем она интересна.
Особенность конструкции заключается в том, что ствол оружия остается гладким, благодаря чему, с учетом нашего законодательства, это оружие может продаваться как гладкоствольное, следовательно, для его покупки не нужно ждать пресловутых пять лет.
И в то же время сверловка Ланкастера имеет свои особенности: в сечении канал ствола как бы овальный, не цилиндрический, а немного вытянутый в стороны или приплюснутый.
Но это еще не все! Этот «овал» не постоянный по длине ствола, а как будто закрученный вокруг его оси. Что это дает?
Если стрелять не дробью, а пулей, то последняя обжимается в стволе под этот овал и благодаря конфигурации ствола закручивается в нем так, как будто проходит по нарезному стволу. В результате мы получаем формально гладкоствольное оружие, но закручивание пули у него как у нарезного.
