As a veteran with mental and intellectual disabilities due to sustai…ning brain injuries I was treated not only rudely but unbelievably bad at the edmond east att store due to my disability which i shouldn't be ashamed of. Even after my disability condition was explain and i apologized that i don't mean to curse, nor did I curse at or acted in an attakiing manor to anyone, was I threatened with not being helped. I am across country from home and my wife had to handle everything over the phone for me to get a phone because other one crapped out. Only after i made a joke to my friend that if i supported Obama I could get a free phone was I refused service. I said you can't hold my already purchased merch from me ill call the cops. As the manger I believe Sherina Cole said she was going to I said good ill wait for them outside and I did. My wife who I depend everything on for had to make my friend a party on the account to pick it up while i chatted with the police. The police said themselves though cursing in a public place is considered disorderly conduct, peoples sensitivity makes them want to punch them in the face sometimes. No joke. And just like elderly with Alzheimer's and other brain deteriating illnesses, I am not always in control of what comes from my mouth. Its in my medical record. And legally under ADA I have my rights!!! However where i served country and have a medical reason for issues i deal with day in day out, if i was seen with courtesness to begin with everything would have been fine. In and out. And even after i appologized and forewarned them of my condition I was still seen with disrespect. It could have been a 5 minute in and out. But turned into over an hour plus ordeal that wasted my time, 2 police officers time, and showed my accompanying Autistic friend how individuals like us with didsabilities aren't welcome in normal society. Overall, i shouldn't have to walk around feeling unwelcome because i slur curse words due to injuries I incurred serving my country, like all veterans, protecting the rights of individuals in this country both that disagree or agree with an opinion or joke or ones unavoidable disabilities Ещё
