Backend Software Engineer | Remote

Position: Backend Software Engineer (Go)

Type: Hourly contract

Compensation: $200/hour

Location: Remote

Commitment: Part-time (15–20 hrs/week for ~1 month)




Role Responsibilities

* Develop and validate backend coding benchmarks using Go.
* Curate benchmark tasks, reference solutions, and test suites from real-world backend codebases.
* Ensure benchmark tasks include robust unit and integration tests for solution verification.
* Maintain consistency and scalability of benchmark task distribution.
* Debug, optimize, and document benchmark code for reliability and reproducibility.
* Provide structured feedback on solution quality and backend engineering best practices.




Requirements

* Strong years of experience as a backend software engineer.
* Strong proficiency in Go.
* Experience debugging, testing, and validating backend systems.
* Understanding of APIs, concurrency, and scalable service design.
* High attention to detail and strong technical communication skills.
* Comfortable working independently in a remote, contract-based role.
