Backend Engineer (Python)

Salary: $12000 - $16000 gross per month

Our client is a startup data vendor that raised a significant amount of money and pays generously to its employees. Our client uses a modern stack, hybrid infrastructure with self-hosted servers and AWS CDN, 3 data centres and multiple tier 1 network providers, 4.8 PB of storage on-site.

You'll report to the CTO and work closely across engineering, product, and design. You’ll work in your timezone and participate in short standups at the client’s timezone (2 times a week at ate hour).

Requirements:

• Commercial experience with Python
• 5+ years of experience in Software Development
• Experience in writing API and integration
• Experience with REST API, RPC, GraphQL
• Experience with Postman
• Good oral and written English is a must

Nice to have:

• Experience working in a trading firm or fintech
• Docker, Kubernetes
• Hands-on experience with single-page applications
• Django, Flask, FastAPI
• Design and administration databases (MySQL, Redis, Clickhouse)
• Familiarity with reverse proxying and load balancing
• Good level of Linux experience
