Backend Developer

Overview: We are seeking a skilled Backend Developer with expertise in Node.js and experience in implementing AI solutions using local embeddable models. The successful candidate will be responsible for building robust backend services and integrating AI functionalities and training AI with custom data to enhance application's capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop backend services and APIs with Node.js / Next.js
• Implement and manage database interactions with PostgreSQL
• Integrate AI models into the application, focusing on local, embeddable solutions
• Train - optimize local AI solution (model) with internal data
• Optimize AI implementations for performance and scalability
• Collaborate with frontend developers to ensure system consistency and improve user experience
• Maintain code quality, organization, and automatization
• Stay updated with emerging trends and technologies in AI and backend development

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Proven experience as a Backend Developer with strong proficiency in Node.js / Next.js API
• Experience with PostgreSQL and database design principles
• Familiarity with AI models, specifically local, embeddable models like LLaMA
• Knowledge of integrating AI models without reliance on online APIs
• Experience in setting up environments for running local AI models and training with new data
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle complex technical challenges
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with additional training on existing AI models
• Experience in an Agile/Scrum development process
