The British Soap AwardsThe British Soap Awards (BSAs) are an annual awards ceremony in the United Kingdom which honours the best moments in British soap operas. The ceremony is televised on ITV. The trophies given to the winners are made from metal and glass and have been manufactured by British firm Creative Awards since their inception. The majority of the awards are voted for by a panel of industry professionals, while certain awards including Best British Soap and Best Leading Performer are voted for by the general public.
British Soap Award for Best British SoapThe British Soap Award for Best British Soap is an award presented annually by the British Soap Awards. The award is voted for by the public. EastEnders is the most awarded soap in the category, with thirteen wins. The award is currently held by EastEnders.
British Soap Award for Best NewcomerThe British Soap Award for Best Newcomer is an award presented annually by the British Soap Awards. The award is voted for by a panel. EastEnders is the most awarded soap in the category, with nine wins. Emmerdale is the only current soap not to have won a Best Newcomer award; defunct soaps that did not win are Family Affairs and Night and Day. The award is currently held by Hollyoaks actress Isabelle Smith, for her role as Frankie Osborne.

British Soap Award for Best Comedy PerformanceThe British Soap Award for Best Comedy Performance is an award presented annually by the British Soap Awards. The award was formerly voted for by a panel, however, in 2025, it became a publicly-voted category. Coronation Street is the most awarded soap in the category, with fifteen wins. As well as this, Coronation Street actress Patti Clare holds the title for the most wins in the category, having received the Best Comedy Performance accolade three times. The award is currently held by EastEnders actress Patsy Palmer, for her role as Bianca Jackson in the soap.

British Soap Award for Best Dramatic PerformanceThe British Soap Award for Best Dramatic Performance is an award presented annually by the British Soap Awards. From 2016 to 2019, the award was split into gendered categories; female and male. This was dropped in 2022 in favour of having a gender neutral category again. The award is voted for by a panel. Coronation Street is the most awarded soap in the category, with ten wins, while EastEnders actress Lacey Turner has won the most, with three wins. The award is currently held by EastEnders actor Steve McFadden.
British Soap Award for Best Young PerformerThe British Soap Award for Best Young Performer is an award presented annually by the British Soap Awards. It has also been presented as Best Dramatic Performance from a Young Actor or Actress, Best Young Actor and Best Young Performance. First awarded in 2004, the accolade is voted for by a panel. However, solely in 2023, the public were able to vote for the winner. Emmerdale actress Amelia Flanagan is the current holder of the award.
2025 British Soap AwardsThe 2025 British Soap Awards honoured the best in British soap operas throughout 2024 and 2025. The ceremony was held on 31 May 2025 at the Hackney Empire theatre in Hackney, London, and will be broadcast on ITV1, ITVX and STV on 5 June 2025. After ITV cancelled the 2024 ceremony for undisclosed reasons, this marked the return of the awards after two years. Jane McDonald returned as presenter, having previously replaced disgraced former presenter Phillip Schofield in 2023. The publicly voted categories were announced on 7 April 2025, with the vote opening that same day. This included a longlist for the Best Leading Performer accolade, which included four cast members from each respective soap. The British Soap Award for Best Comedy Performance was also turned to a publicly-voted accolade for the first time. The shortlist, including panel nominations, were released on 1 May 2025. Despite falling within the eligibility period, transmitting its final episode in November 2024, the ceremony marks the first since 2002 that BBC soap opera Doctors was not considered for the awards. EastEnders dominated the ceremony with eight wins, including Best British Soap, as well winning the other publicly-voted awards and four panel-voted awards. Hollyoaks won three panel-voted awards, while David Neilson won the British Soap Award for Outstanding Achievement for 30 years of playing Roy Cropper in Coronation Street. The Tony Warren Award was given to Emmerdale cameraman Mike Plant.
