Background to the conflict
The escalation began with attacks by the Pakistani Air Force in the eastern provinces of Afghanistan. "Under the pretext of fighting terrorism, civilian areas were attacked. Women and children were killed. This crime will not go unpunished, " he stressed. Pakistan denies these accusations.
