BBC Radio Manchester hunt most unique fundraiser

BBC Radio Manchester is on the hunt for Greater Manchester's most original and imaginative fundraiser.

We would love to hear from you on how you are raising money for Children in Need this year.

Are you planning to do a bunny hop across the Pennines? Will you take a vow of silence for seven days? Perhaps you'll paint your body in yellow to resemble Pudsey and stay that way for a week.

Get in touch with BBC Radio Manchester to let us know what you're planning and the place you'll be doing it.

One fundraiser's idea will be chosen, and the winner will be awarded two tickets to this year's BBC Children in Need Rocks Manchester concert at the Manchester Evening News Arena on Thursday 17 November.

The competition will begin at 09.00am Monday 31 October through 21.00pm on Monday 14 November. All applications must be received by 21.00 pm on Monday 14 November 2011.

All applicants must be 18 years old.

Two tickets to the BBC Children in Need Manchester concert at Manchester Evening News Arena are included in the prize. Other travel and other expenses will not be covered.

Terms and Conditions

1. Entry is open to all residents of the UK aged 18 or more which includes the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man Except for BBC employees and their immediate relatives, or anyone who is associated with the contest. You may need to prove your identity, age and eligibility.

2. Entrants are asked to send in the following by email to radiomanchester@bbc.co.uk

*Information about the fund raising activity

*A brief description of the event, as well as the location it will be taking place.

All entries will be verified and checked. Potential winners may be personally visited by a participant of BBC Radio Manchester. Any other entry method will be accepted. Only one entry per listener is allowed (if multiple entries are received from the same person, the first entry will be counted).

3. The entry process will begin at 09.00am on Monday 31st October 2011 and ending at 21.00pm Tuesday 14th Nov 2011.

4. All entries must include the name and phone number. Incomplete entries, unreadable entries, or entries submitted after the deadline will not be accepted.

5. The following criteria will be used to evaluate entries by an advisory panel of BBC Radio Manchester members:

*Originality: We are seeking new ideas, and we will not accept any ideas that has been done before. A fundraiser that stands out from the rest.

*Effort Do you have to overcome obstacles to get your idea to fruition? Was there an extensive amount of planning involved. Did you rope in the help of a cast of thousands?

*Impact: Does it have the wow factor? Will people be aware of it? Does it have a compelling story to the fund-raising?

Each criteria will be scored out of the possible ten. The winner will be the entrant with the highest score.

Anyone who has a personal family or business relationship with any members of the panel is not permitted to enter.

6. If an entrant isn't able to be contacted even after reasonable efforts have been made the BBC reserves the right to deny progressing that entrant in the competition and move onto the next best entry.

7. The prize will consist of two tickets for the BBC Children in Need Rocks Manchester concert at the Manchester Evening News Arena on the 17th of November, on a Thursday. Other costs or expenses will be paid, including but not including travel or accommodation.

8. The BBC will decide who the winner is. No correspondence regarding the contest will be entered into.

9. The BBC is not responsible for the event if the ticket holders are not able to gain entry to the Children in Need Rocks Manchester event. Tickets holders are responsible for checking admission requirements to the venue.

10. Participants must agree to take part in the publicity for the competition.

11. Your personal information will only be used by the BBC to administer this competition. We will not share your personal information with anyone else, nor will we release it. Entry via email will be stored in an encrypted file. 12. The BBC reserves the rights to: (i. Modify these terms and conditions, and also modify the rules for competition, including opening and closing times; (ii. Disqualify any participant who is in violation of the rules or has committed fraud in any way or has committed fraud in any way; and (iii. The competition may be cancelled at any time should it feel it is necessary or if the circumstances are beyond its control.

13. The BBC and its subcontractors, affiliates, and/or agencies cannot take any responsibility for any technical malfunction or other problem with any server system or network, service provider or other device that may cause an entry to not be properly recorded.

14. Entrants will be deemed to have accepted these rules and agree to be bound by them while entering the competition.

15. The competition is managed by the BBC. The law that applies is the law of England and Wales.
