Project Description
Equities Derivatives IT provides development and support for the Equity Derivs businesses globally. Main product sets are Structured Notes, OTC Derivatives and Listed Options and functions include trade capture and lifecycle processing across all trading entities and clusters within CS. The Department is responsible for many business applications including GUIs and batch processing. We work extensively with Front Office, Risk Management, Pricing, Trade Mgmt and Quants.
This role is within the Structured Products team and the brief of the department is to work with the users to design the optimum Straight Through Processing and control processes for all products, and to deliver solutions as well as support our legacy systems.
The team is global with significant presents in London, Poland, New York, Singapore and Hong Kong.
Team members are expected to be business facing and work across a range of technical disciplines.
The software is connected to the pricing, issuance and booking of Structured Products.

Responsibilities
Hands-on programming development and software delivery. Focus on developer build tooling automation.
Primary responsibilities for developing and designing the next generation of industry leading trade capture and lifecycle management tooling and systems for the Equity Derivatives business.
Ensuring coding best practice, discipline and test / deployment automation within the team. Software quality is a priority.
Design and delivery of in-house software solutions, with a focus on high quality systems
Support of user and system issues

MUST
Essentials Skills and Qualifications:
1. Experienced C# .Net developer on multiple projects
2. Expert practitioner of Test-Driven Development, mocking libraries, agile methodologies and associated tools/technologies
3. Enjoys working closely with the customer and experience in defining and validating user stories
4. Works well in a Front-Office or similar delivery-oriented environment and delivery in a changing fast paced environment
5. Strong communication skills and good interpersonal relationship skills and strong team player.
6. Good degree or equivalent commercial experience
7. Strong understanding and preference for Agile delivery processes, and experience within high performing agile development teams.
8. Problem solving ability. Creative thinking. Analytical mind set.
9. Good written communication skills - focus on clear and unambiguous messages.
NICE TO HAVE
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
1. Wider knowledge of Investment Banking and related products.
2. Good knowledge of HTML, JavaScript and associated modern web UI frameworks
3. Good knowledge of Oracle SQL
4. Experience of integrating with services using REST and SOAP based APIs
