Fifteen-year-old Yamada has just entered high school and is gung ho about achieving her ultimate goal: to have one hundred sex partners! There’s just one problem: she’s a virgin, and she hasn’t even had a boyfriend! To get the ball rolling, Yamada decides to target a shy boy named Takashi from her school; but even though he is also a virgin and she ruthlessly aggressive with her feminine ways, it’s not as easy as Yamada hopes. Though they begin to have feelings for each other, will Yamada and Takashi ever get past first base?
B Gata H Kei is an anime that does not get enough credit and notoriety for what it is...which is one absolutely hilarious Ecchi anime!
Story: 15-year old Yamada is obsessed with having sex with 100 guys, that's right 100, before graduating from high school. Why exactly!? Who the heck knows! That's what this story is supposed to be primarily about, which doesn't sound too promising. To be honest, it isn't.
Nothing about that screamed "riveting" to me when I first heard it. However, five minutes into the very first episode, it was already laugh-out-loud funny. After the entirety of the episode, you realize that the show was exactly what it claims to be, but not in any way I would've expected. It truly isn't all that distasteful, vulgar, or offensive and it was not an anime that takes itself seriously. I came to realize quickly that all the ecchi elements were there to support the heavy comedic aspects of the plot. Thank goodness for that!
Animation: As a whole, the art had a pleasantly bright and colorful palette. Contrast was good in the very few scenes where it existed and was truly needed. The characters, while not overly detailed, were detailed enough to make their on-screen presence visually appealing. The animation itself was smooth and consistent throughout most of the series. There were a few spots where the animators got lazy in character movements, which I didn't mind too much. After all, it's a Comedy and not some action-adventure type series where that could've been problematic.
Sound: First of all, the English dubbed version is a must! I'll explain in the Characters section.
Second, there's not much to say about the soundtrack. It's your standard fair that I would expect from this genre of anime. The OP and ED are solid though, if not just a little above average. I could listen to them before and after every episode without feeling an urgency to skip them. It means they're tolerable at the very least.
Characters: This is where the anime shines the most. The writers did a fantastic job at capturing the show's lewd, mature nature and turning it into something hilarious. The English VA's did an equally impressive job at bringing the script to life. You could tell that they all had fun with this one in both writing and acting.
Yamada lives in her own world! She is without a doubt the horniest anime character every written! She is lewd, has no shame, is blunt, and has absolutely no clue to what the heck she is doing regarding sex! Yet, she talks it up like she's a mountain of knowledge and has nothing but great ideas. Her mouth and behavior are both quite funny and very entertaining. And although she has a Big Ego, she also has a much bigger heart and is a better person than you might think at first. Her counterpart, Takashi Kosuda, is a bit on the weaker side of characters, which actually works for him in this series. He and Yamada are an excellent Odd Couple-like tandem. They balance each other very well.
Other key characters of note include Yamada's best friend, the F-cup Miharu Takeshita (Yamada loves giving her a difficult time about her breasts size), her sex deity Erogamisama, and her arch nemesis Kyouka Kanejou.
Overall: B Gata H Kei is a riot of laughter more often than not. At the time of this review I have seen it three times, and I'm confident that I will watch it again, for the laughter if nothing else.
The anime's biggest downfalls are the lack of at least some type of quality plot and the anime's short comings. A few of the other characters don't get enough screen time and their individual stories aren't brought to life enough due to the limited 12 episode length. Still, it is hard not recommend this show if you bare everything in mind that you just read in this review.

Absolutely hilarious, I had a permanent smile on my face the entire series. A really mellow story and all of the characters were quite diverse and likeable. A bit of a role reversal from the usual loser male trying to lose his virginity, which I really enjoyed.
Definitely worth a watch!
Ok this is rather an odd anime especialy just for a normal girl, but hey who cant relate to how it feels when you think your ready to do it lol.
its not as bad as the description makes it sound.
it is a very cute and rather silly romance. the characters are adorable with great personalities and humer. i cant even tell you how often i laughed while watchig it.
its a must see!

B Gata H Kei is an anime that aired from April 1st, 2010 to June 18, 2010 [1] . The anime particularly is about a girl named Yamada who wishes to have 100 sex buddies. B Gata H Kei (B型H系, lit. B Type H Series) is a Japanese 4-koma manga series published by Shueisha which has been adapted into an anime series. The story focuses on the salacious dreams of a high school girl, whose perceived drawback of being a virgin, leads her to lusting after a single average and unremarkable boy.
B Gata H Kei revolves around 15 year old high school student Yamada whose lascivious nature causes her to aspire to one day achieve relations with 100 different partners. However, her insecurities as a virgin leads her to reject every guy that attempts to make a move on her. In order to hurdle this mental barrier Yamada goes on a search for her "golden cherry ", an inexperienced boy whom she will bestow the right to be her first. One day while in a bookstore she abruptly runs into one of her classmates, Kosuda Takashi, who happened to pass by and break her fall from a shelf. Believing that Kosuda is the boy she is looking for Yamada goes to great lengths to try and seduce him. All the while, she discovers the difficulties in making that first important step in reaching her goals.

B Gata H Kei , titled Yamada's First Time: B Gata H Kei in the English dub, is an anime television series from the manga of the same title written by Yoko Sanri. It was produced by Hal Film Maker . It premiered on the KBS and Tokyo MX television network on April 2, 2010, [1] and ran weekly for 12 episodes. FUNimation has licensed the anime series, releasing it on DVD and Blu-ray on January 31, 2012, [2] and later broadcasting it on the Funimation channel and uploading it to various broadband services. [3]
The opening theme song for the series was "Oshiete A to Z" ( おしえて A to Z ) and its ending theme was "Hadashi no Princess" ( 裸足のプリンセス ) . Both theme songs are performed by Yukari Tamura , who voices the title character Yamada. [4] A maxi single containing the two themes was released on April 28, 2010. [4]
We are introduced to Yamada, considered to be her high school's idol, and to her mission in life in high school: to obtain a hundred sexual partners. However, she is rather picky, and decides to concentrate on a guy named Takashi Kosuda, whom she meets at a bookstore while shopping for a dictionary; and her would-be classmate.
Yamada continues to seduce Kosuda by inviting him over to the pool. For this, she selects a rather sexy swimsuit for him. Yamada's friend Miharu Takeshita was worried Yamada might steal her boyfriend, Daisuke Matsuo, but it didn't happen--instead, Matsuo-senpai and Kosuda become instant friends. Yamada enjoys riding with Kosuda on the water slide, but gets disappointed when she finds out Kosuda is afraid of heights, hence his clinging tightly to her. Kosuda manages to make up with Yamada during the fireworks display, when he hugged Yamada from out of the blue, taking Matsuo-senpai's suggestion. Now Yamada prepares for "the big moment" by buying tons of condoms, while Kosuda seems even scared to buy condoms for himself.
When Yamada learns of Kosuda's membership in the photography club, and finds out that he is going to develop a few pictures in the dark room, she turns that into a sneaky scheme to "obtain his golden cherry." While the dark room only has the red light on, Yamada undresses and advances behind Kosuda, only to back off when he turns around, but then Yamada accidentally trips the plug to the red dark room lights when another student is heard. Kosuda fumbles around for the light switch and accidentally touches her bare breast, having no clue what he was touching. Disappointed, Yamada runs out of the room after Kosuda finds the switch to the normal room lights, but he catches up with her in his bicycle and offers her a ride home.
Jealous of her sister Chika bringing home lots of cute guys as boyfriends almost every day, Yamada steps up again to seduce Kosuda, just in time for Christmas Eve. Yamada tries hard at the library to hint to Kosuda to ask her out, and he does. Kosuda's sister draws up a date plan. Kosuda and Yamada meet up, but nothing seems to go right. Kosuda gives Yamada some earrings, which she interprets as wanting sex, so she pulls Kosuda through the love hotel district, and starts scouting for cheap locations. Kosuda is very nervous but he attempts to kiss her, but is slow so Yamada tries to initiate one and practically gives him a massive headbutt. But their lips touch, and she runs away from Kosuda to hide somewhere.
As Mayu Miyano tries in vain to give Kosuda the perfect Valentine's day chocolate cake (she gives it to his sister instead, thinking it is in return for the apples she gave her), Yamada, while getting a mound of chocolates herself, struggles to make even one box of chocolate for Kosuda--and even her best were unpalatable to fish. Kosuda reveals to Yamada the next day that the chocolates given anonymously through the mailbox were "of a unique taste."
Looks like Yamada's obstacles in the way of Kosuda has multiplied by three--her sister Chika enrolls in the same school as her; and Mayu Miyano and Kyouka Kanejō, the girl who nearly beat her in last year's beauty contest, are now in the same class as she is! Setting Miyano aside for the moment, Kyouka is getting under Yamada's skin because of her charm and immense talent, envying her in the process, especially that she seems to be getting Kosuda's attention. Well, not that he is interested in her, but because she looks familiar, since she appears in the photography magazine he buys every month.
By now Yamada is battling a desperate "war" against the seemingly invincible Kyouka Kanejō. Kyouka even manages to beat Yamada, the fastest swimmer in her class, in a 50-meter freestyle swimming race, even with Yamada trying to cheat. Yamada even tries to enlist the help of her sister Chika, but when she took her to meet Kyouka, she and Chika became fast friends, much to Yamada's dismay. Meanwhile, summer break is coming, and Kosuda asks Yamada out to go somewhere for the summer break. Both see this as an opportunity, but there are hurdles.
It is three days of field trip to Kyoto for Class 2-H, and Yamada and Kosuda see this
