VIAcode Consulting is looking for qualified Lead / account manager Azure Cloud Engineer / Lead manager to migrate and deploy cloud solutions on Microsoft Azure.
Responsibilities for the Azure Cloud Engineer / Lead manager:
- Lead clients' cloud migration engagements, including cloud migration strategy, application cloud suitability/readiness assessment, migration planning, sourcing options, business case and execution coordination specifically in Azure
- Lead application design changes for cloud suitability and migrations
- Assessment of workload and inventory of on-prem environment with performance metrics and workload cost estimates
- Assessment and analysis of on-prem database servers and migration path to Azure Data services
- Cost comparison of total cost of ownership and saving from migration to Azure
- Documentation of detail configuration of the landing zones of the targeted cloud services
- Be a cloud migration SME(Subject Matter Expert) and technical leader on the project
Qualifications for the Lead / manager Azure Cloud Engineer:
- Working knowledge of DR and migration strategies on Azure. Including leveraging Azure Backup, Site Recovery for both DR and as a migration pathway
- Technical experience in infrastructure design, build and deployment, including private and public cloud, networking, connectivity, storage, virtualization and access control
- Experience with migration readiness and planning tools (ex. Azure Migrate, Data Migration Assistant, Azure Site Recovery Planner, etc.)
- Experience with Azure/VMWare/Hyper-V/Physical servers to Azure migration
- Ability to establish and maintain a high level of customer trust and confidence.
- Ability to provide a high level of quality and productivity.
- Provide technical and engineering leadership, as well as hands-on development
- Collaborate with clients and team (or independent) to translate requirements into cloud-based solutions
