Oooh yes. It’s time to finally go back and revisit a certain scene from Azur Lane ep 6. You know what I’m talking about, the bath scene! Now looking back at my original review of that ep, I criticized the usage of censoring in areas where there wasn’t anything to censor. Bras and panties aren’t worth censoring, hell nudity isn’t either, but we’ll save that conversation for another day. The main issues I had was that a lot of the censoring wasn’t on actual nudity and just things they wanted to make you think were nudity, or just to sell you the BD. Long story short, it’s time to go back and rewatch this scene as the way it was intended to be seen. Let’s take a look!

So that’s a look at the BD version of that scene, much better than the broadcast version as this is the way it was meant to be seen.
Now I just want to point out a few areas where the censoring was totally pointless and was only censoring underwear, like I said.
Things like this are what I found the most annoying about the broadcast version of the ep, it’s not even censoring any nudity. This next one is my favorite as it’s extremely inconsistent in this whole scene.
And just to show why this is so ridicilous, this next screen cap is from the broadcast version, and look in the back.
You can clearly see they’re in underwear, yet they still censored it in the next frame. Things like this really annoy me.
Anyways I said I’d revisit this scene once the BDs dropped so I’m following on my promise to take another look at it and show you what you were missing from the broadcast version. Also wanted to show this other change they added to the BD version of the ep, while not about the bath scene, it does show another boat who I enjoy looking at art of, Sirius.

Apologies for the delayed response. Yes, of course the wait for the uncensored version of the episode was worth it. Yes, they went overboard with the censoring. Yes, Unicorn’s secret was far more incredible than we could have imagined. Yes, the dark boats nearly hospitalized me.
Also naked South Dakota was incredible. Need more of these dark sexy boats.
If we ever get S2, totally need more Sirius and the rest of the maid boats.
These guys really know how to hold out on viewers so they’ll buy the Blu-rays. Then again I’ve heard Blu-ray sales are really important to studios, and I guess they can’t just show nudity in regular broadcasts, so maybe I can’t blame them? Anyway, nice boats. I’m a little more familiar with Kancolle but Azur Lane got my attention.
Sad how everything is based so much on BD sales and that’s the determining factor for a successful show. Oh well.
Gotta say I do like Azur Lane more so, but I haven’t played the game at all and probably won’t if I were to be honest. I just like looking at all the amazing at on Pixiv and that’s about it. KanColle has got some very nice boats as well, no hate to them by any means.
