The travel class and routes determine the baggage allowances offered to the passengers of Avianca Reservation. So, it is highly recommended that all the passengers must check the baggage allowances according to their fare type, travel class, and routes; before packing for the travel.

Cabin Baggage – All the passengers of Avianca Airlines are allowed to take one piece of cabin baggage weighing no more than 22lbs and must not exceed the size limit of 45 inches. The carry-on baggage policy applies to both “Business Class” and “Economy Class” travelers.

Checked Baggage

Between the United States, Canada, South America, and the Caribbean

If you are traveling on Avianca business class flight that operates between the US, Canada, South America, and the Caribbean; then you are entitled to two pieces of check-in baggage, each weighing not more than 70lbs. However, Economy Class passengers can take two pieces of check-in baggage, where each baggage must not weight more than 50lbs.

Between the United States, Canada, and Central America

Those who are traveling on Business Class, are permitted to check-in with two pieces of baggage. The weight of each baggage must not exceed 70lbs. However, passengers with valid economy class tickets are allowed to check-in only one piece of bag, which must not weight more than 50lbs.

Between Mexico and South America

Business Class passengers are allowed to check-in with two pieces of baggage each weighing not more than 70lbs. However, the Economy Class passengers can check-in two pieces of the bag, each weighing no more than 50lbs.

Between Central American countries

Business Class passengers are allowed to check-in with two pieces of baggage each weighing not more than 70lbs. However, Economy Class passengers can check-in with only one piece of bag weighing not more than 50lbs.
