The first thing you do when a car accident occurs is call the police. Most drivers are issued a ticket they can pay and be done with, but others might have to appear in court if they are issued a more serious ticket.
Other jobs officers do when they are called to a scene includes facilitating the clean-up associated with an accident, notifying family of an accident if the person is unable to notify them because of serious injuries or death, and they are there to comfort those who need it. The job of an officer at a crash scene is never done, and it’s not limited. They have a duty when they arrive on the scene of an accident, but they also have a chance to do what’s needed, whether it’s comforting scared children or helping to rescue anyone trapped in a car.

Thieves crashed a car into a Neiman Marcus store in Beverly Hills Sunday morning, stole an unknown amount of merchandise and disappeared before the police arrived, according to the Beverly Hills Police Department.
The car crashed into the luxury store on Wilshire Boulevard just before 5 a.m., and the suspects fled in a getaway car before police arrived only three minutes later, the police announced . Police are still searching for the suspects, and it remains unclear whether the car was stolen.

“Due to our robust technology and the evidence left at scene, I am confident we will make arrests in this case,” Beverly Hills Police Chief Mark Stainbrook said in a public statement. “We understand the concerns of the community and our staff continues to arrest people who commit crime in Beverly Hills. This case will be no different. Crime of any kind will not be tolerated in Beverly Hills.”
The incident is the latest smash-and-grab crime in the upscale neighborhoods surrounding Los Angeles ; brazen shoplifting, often of thousands of dollars’ worth of merchandise, has become a constant issue in these areas, according to the Los Angeles Times. Burglaries are down slightly since 2020 while the murder rate has surged since 2019, but public attention has focused on the trend of high-profile burglary and vandalism of high-end stores in wealthy Los Angeles suburbs.
The Beverly Hills Police Department directed the Daily Caller News Foundation to Stainbrook’s statement and had no further information to share.

Police arrive to find physically-unresponsive driver who suffered a stroke. Instead of helping him, they taser him in the face, pepper spray him, then run over his foot while he's laying on the road because he "refused to follow commands"...despite being physically incapable.
A subreddit dedicated to people freaking out, melting down, losing their cool, or being weird in public.

Why would they escalate that far that fast with out even asking if he could respond.
They apparently held him at gunpoint for several minutes demanding that he step out of the car before they tasered and sprayed him.
The cop who used the taser and pepper spray was forced to resign. And, of course, he was later rehired by another county.
Why would they? They face zero consequences if they are wrong and he isnt dangerous, and if he is dangerous then they are better off having done this. I'm not saying this is the right choice, but the system is setup to make this the norm. Cops are pussies
Imagine if you just suffered a stroke for the first time and some cops pull up, TAZE you in THE FACE, and PEPPER SPRAY your face, also motherfucker held that pepper sprayer in his face for a good 30 seconds. That is one corrupt cop.
He was black. They are white. They were in fear of thier lives. You know how "dangerous" unresponsive black men are. They've been known to kill a man a mile away...
Go watch police training. They are so conditioned to assume "Black man = your are going to die".

Their job is to provide revenue for the state and filling beds for the for-profit US prison system. Its win win for them to escalate, and if things start to get out of hand they can just kill them without repercussion.
They’re sadists and like hurting people. That’s was their entire reason for being a cop in the first place. Their is no legal duty to help anyone and the cop union will make sure they aren’t charged with assault or murder.
Because escalation is a lot easier than empathy.
Also if a man gets tazed and pepper sprayed and is dead silent and barely moves at that point you should try to render aid. I mean nobody just sits through that without acknowledging it without a serious medical problem
