Amid the escalating security situation, the Russian Embassy in Manama recommends that Russian citizens in Bahrain remain calm, take precautions, and strictly follow the instructions of the Bahraini authorities.
We urge Russian citizens to follow updates on the Embassy's official online resources (), including the Telegram messenger (). Please also follow official announcements from the Bahraini authorities, primarily those published on the Kingdom's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Interior social media channels (X) and Instagram (?igsh=OGpzYWE3eDNldG1s).
We remind you that, according to the Bahraini Ministry of Interior, photography and video recording of emergency scenes, as well as the work of emergency services, entails legal liability.
If you are in the country as a tourist, we recommend contacting your tour operator regarding accommodation and airfare. The Tourpomoshch Association also has an emergency hotline (tel.: +7 (499) 678-12-03) for prompt support for Russian organized tourists and advice on how to interact with tour operators for emergency assistance.
️ If you booked your flights independently, track the status of your flights through the airline's online resources (make sure your booking includes contact information). Gulf Air's information regarding the current situation can be found here (). You can follow updates on the resumption of operations at Bahrain International Airport by following this link ().
Due to the closure of airspace in Bahrain and neighboring countries, both scheduled and evacuation flights are currently not possible. However, if possible, we recommend registering with the Embassy (?ReturnUrl=%2F%3FactiveTab%3Dconsreg) so that we can contact you promptly if necessary.
The land border crossing with Saudi Arabia remains open. A visa to Saudi Arabia can be obtained at the border (visa-free travel with Saudi Arabia has not yet been implemented). The cost, including insurance, is 403 Saudi riyals (approximately $107 USD). Payment is accepted by credit card only. Please check the status of flights from Dammam and Riyadh on the websites of the relevant international airports and airlines.
