Atlantic City’s former Showboat casino reopens as hotel

Atlantic City Casino, which closed two years ago, reopens as a hotel.

Bart Blatstein, a developer of Philadelphia, says the showboat will reopen to guests on Friday, with 852 hotel rooms and suites. The building will retain the name Showboat, but will no longer offer casino games.

The reopening comes as union members at Trump's Taj Mahal next door enter their second week of strike action. Workers in the 54th area of the United-HERE union continue to picket casinos around the clock.

Showboat was one of four casinos that closed in the city in 2014 due to competition with neighboring states. 바카라사이트 추천

Blatstein bought the property in January after a disastrous sale to Stockton University and efforts to overturn it to another casino owner failed.
