What better way to spend Valentines day (me: single and alone) than dressing up your sims in some luxurious new lingerie? What started out as a mini set ended up becoming a full collection of underwear for your sims… and your male sims get some too!
The entire collection includes 23 items across a 20 swatch palette . There are: 5 bras, 4 panties, 3 panties with garters, 2 full body outfits, 2 pairs of male pants, 1 pair of heels, 1 pair of gloves, 1 pair of stockings and 4 accessory bras.
The men’s pants are kind of random, I was gonna release them on april fools day for lols….but then once I got going on the lingerie set I thought they might as well be included. also please don’t cancel me for a bit of bulge it happened by accident i swear!!
Also thank you to @ice-creamforbreakfast for keeping me sane with the pants. She discovered that using custom bodyhair causes slight artifacts/blurring when used with ALL underwear, even EA ones! But she still managed to fix them up as much as possible thank you angel!! x

A little rant about the patreon two-three weeks before posting EA “rule”

I wanted to discuss this because I am sick of avoiding the matter when it’s being brought to the table by mostly mm creators (sorry but it’s true).
First of all, for those who didn’t hear about this “rule” made by SimGuruDrake, here is the orignal statement from 2017:
This rule didn’t specify the creators that were concerned which I always thought was very very unfair because many creators, especially the alpha creators, always made their meshes from scratch and never even used ea’s meshes or ea’s textures once in their creations, which is my case and MANY other alpha creators’ case. That’s why I decided that this rule wasn’t fair for me and I decided to not follow it, but sometimes I felt bad because a lot of alpha creators that create their own meshes are following this rule.
This tweet shows a discussion between felixandresims on twitter and simgurudrake on twitter. Simgurudrake is the one that made the rule in 2017 about the cc locked behind patreon. This discussion CLEARLY states that if the cc isn’t made out of ea meshes or textures, then the rule doesn’t apply and it’s 100% owned by the creator himself . Seeing this makes me really happy that finally EA acknowledges that this rule shouldn’t be applied to every creator because this isn’t fair and this isn’t even legal in my opinion (because the package format isn’t owned by ea, it can be used to put together meshes and textures for other purposes than the sims).
Now reading this I am truly hoping alpha creators and all of the creators who aren’t using ea meshes or textures will do whatever they want with their cc because it’s in their own right to not follow any rules since they own their cc.
Last thing I want to talk about is some mm creators that were beyond disrespectful to alpha creators because we, as the alpha “community”, didn’t always follow the rule. I am honestly disgusted by some of them with how disrepectful they could get with us even though we did nothing to them.. Also I was sick of their rants about the ea rule that THEY should respect and they are the only ones who are concerned about this rule..
Anyways sorry for my poor english, it’s not my native language so please bare with me and I will see you soon.
My only gripe with this argument is that the ‘market’ wouldn’t exist without EA. Like, if you removed the product from the context of EA’s game then you wouldn’t be able to sell this content. Like, there’s a reason you’re selling this on Patreon with The Sims as a tagline because if you tried to sell it on, say, Turbosquid, you wouldn’t be making nearly as much money.
And the market only exists because people make stuff for free. If you couldn’t get a vast majority of custom content for free, the whole market would dry up, because nobody can (reasonably) afford to spend hundreds of dollars on custom content a month. So it feels unfair for creators to use the market created by EA and a community built around mutual giving (I used to be a somewhat active creator and I made my meshes from scratch, I KNOW it takes days) to suddenly be some peoples jobs. If you want a job making meshes, why not… get a job doing that? Why not create for SecondLife or other games that have paid content as an inherent part of the economy of the game? Why use a low-entry, already-expensive game as the platform for your ‘job’?
If everyone treated making custom content as their ‘job’, nobody could, because nobody would use cc anymore. And while making MM content uses EAs textures and meshes, that is also a learned skill that can take a long time.
Permanently paywalling CC might be legally fine, but it’s ethically wrong. If you want to make a living off 3D modeling and texturing… get a job in the industry? Sell your meshes on Turbosquid or similar platforms? Why take advantage of a platform and system built by other people that until rather recently was 99% mutual giving? Seems wack.
Oh yeah and that’s not even going into how many alpha ‘creators’ (not accusing OP or anyone in the thread, just saying generally) straight up steal meshes or buy them from Turbosquid and then charge people MORE for the mesh. Hella wack!!!
