📚 History

Named after Lady Margaret Elmwood, one of the first female professors at Astorian, a philosopher and humanist who helped establish the college’s ethical code. The house’s early students famously refused to participate in a duel in 1912, offering a structured debate instead — and won.

Solmont House

Solmont gathers the passionate, idealistic, and charismatic. It is the house of dreamers, speakers, and those who aim to change the world — or at least stand boldly before it. Their words burn, and their actions carry conviction. Admired for sincerity, feared for unpredictability.

🏛 History

Named after poet and revolutionary Arthur Solmont, a former student expelled in 1894 for “provoking youthful unrest.” Ten years later, he was invited back as a lecturer. His former room became the heart of what would become Solmont House. He later died protecting cultural artifacts during an expedition in Africa.
